Cheapest deal I've seen. Understood this is comparable to a GTX 1060 6gb.

Original 15% off Computer Alliance on eBay Deal Post

For those who prefers a slightly different (RED) look and a backplate, the MKII card comes in at $17 ($339.15 ebay+ / $354.15 non-ebay+) more. I think these have a slightly different dimensions but everything else is the same.

Alternatively the RX 570 is an additional $30 cheaper. Performs exactly the same as the 1060 3gb with additional vram + freesync potential. Power consumption is higher though.

    • The 1060 6gb is where the value is at, I don't see why anyone would buy the 3gb over this.

      • Budget limitations can prevent people spending more. Making decisions on price vs performance is another reason, there is % increase in cost for a % increase in performance. Also typically AMD cards require more power, generating more heat and cooling solutions after often noiser. Also people may prefer games than run faster on nVidia cards, such as Grand Theft Auto. Those are some reasons to pick a 1060 3GB over the RX580 8GB, if I was choosing I'd get faster than either of those two.

        I'd recommend RX580 over 1060 3GB card though.

  • Yay, Mining crash finally yielding better GPU prices.

Here is hoping for the predicted 20% further drop in price through August for what is essentially 2 year old Tech.

Coins are back up 40% lately.

This is what it should be. Not the inflated 500 bucks prices earlier in the year.

    • Nope, its too expensive.
This card should be ~AU $200. This is however, an acceptable price for 2016 performance.
Call it for what it is: Course Correction.

Remember Nvidia and AMD are going to be releasing their new graphics solutions very soon.
There's the potential that AMD can deliver a card slightly cheaper than this, but with x2 fold performance.
And there's the potential that Nvidia can deliver a GTX 1080-equivalent card at this same price.

Fantastic price if you still have EBay plus. I opted for this card over 1060 as this card has free sync and the capability to run in crossfire confirms later.

Guys, should i wait for the next gen graphic card or buy it now? Please help…

Depends on what you sort of games you're playing right now. Personally I have a lot of backlogs in my steam account it's not even funny. But this card would suit my needs for the next few years playing them in 1080p. And for me it's good enough. Prior to this I am running a HD6850 and still managed to get 25-29 fps from the original Tomb Raider with tessellation on, though it's 720p. This card will be like a jump from video cassettes era to a blu ray to me….

I agree with ultra64, it depends on your needs. My 670gtx is on it's last legs. I've literally cooked it in the oven to fix it once, but it will start failing again soon from anecdotal experience. Personally I'll buy a new GPU when it fails. I'd like it to be an 1170, but it might be an RX580 or a 1070.

You have to consider how soon you need a new card. Recently one of Nvidia's partners return 300,000 GTX 1000 series to Nvidia. Were Nvidia to release 1100's series now, they'd have to slash the prices to move those 1000 series cards. However AMD has no plans of dropping new graphics hardware given the failure of the Vega 56/64 so Nvidia is free to sit on the 1100 series until they clear their 1000 series inventory. The chip makers (who physically manufacture the GPU for nvidia) are very clear that the 1100's series GPU is in production but that is no indication that they will launch anytime soon.

    • I just purchased a week ago. Arguably we are already in the discounting period for 'next gen cards' - i.e The RX580 is prior gen to Vega. It's also been heavily discounted lately - search past 'bargains' had this card at $499.

The 1070 / 1080 will always be min $500 and thats way to much for me. This card meets my performance needs at the price that is right.

      I replaced a 670GTX.

      • I'm running a 2500k with SLI 670GTX all from 2012. Even worth looking at a mb and cpu upgrade? Or just something like this card?

        • Personally I think you should try and milk your setup for as long as possible then buy an entirely new one.

  • Have this exact card and i've only been happy with it (although i have had to revert to some older drivers rather than the latest version)

I'm powering a 75htz curved ultra-wide freesync monitor and have been very impressed with it.

I have had 3 of these cards which i have put in systems for friends (although not at this awesome price point) and the OC headroom on it seem to vary.

At the moment im running it at 1550 cpu / 2150 memory

    • Can you tell me what drivers you have reverted to and why?
I have the RX480, if downgrading drivers would give me a performance boost I'd like to know.

      • Sure, i revert to Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.7.1 Driver Version 17.10.3211.1031

I cannot tell you why.. or how it gets better results, but i get better OC and considerably more stable in games, as soon as i upgrade the drivers i get crashes, not constantly.. maybe once or twice a week, but with 17.7.1 i have no issues.

  • Going by what miners say as they buy cards in bulk MSI have the highest failure rate.
