[eBay Plus] Xiaomi Mi Power Bank 2S 10,000mAh New Version (Melbourne Stock) $16.99 Delivered @ Gearbite eBay

2220

Greetings everyone, Gearbite have dropped the price on this power bank for eBay plus members, I believe this is the cheapest price ever for this model. Even cheaper than their previous offering.

This is the newly released 2018 model with Dual USB outputs, it is a bit longer than the previous model.

Gearbite is a very respectable seller, and will ship these quickly. This items is backed with a 1 year Gearbite warranty, situated in Melbourne. Their support team are excellent if you have any issues.

Please be advised, there are quite a few sellers on eBay selling fake power banks, if you want complete assurance that you're receiving a genuine Xiaomi model, please purchase from Gearbite. Gearbite advised me that "2S" is the official model name of this power bank from Xiaomi.

Please Note: In order to get this price you need an eBay plus membership, a one month trial is available here thanks to syba if you don't already have a trial.

Please also note: These are being sent by Auspost mail service and could take 3-7 business days.

Also note, if you want more than one you can combine with PENNY5 :)

The 20,000mAh model is now $27.99 also here if you're looking for a bigger storage power bank.

As always, enjoy!

  • Difference between 2i and 2s?

    • +1

They're the same, Gearbite advised me that 2S is the official title of this power bank from Xiaomi.

    • +3

They are same product with different name due to different markets. Call 2i in india, xiaomi named title as 10000mAh Mi power bank 2S for Other markets.

Hey Gearbite… can you scroll down please, few of us are yet to receive the item from your last sale?!

        • Mine just arrived today!

        • @neo-X: mine yesterday

        • Mine today

        • @Salmando:

Mine was ‘picked up from sender’ on 19-Jul.

          Expected delivery date was 24-Jul.

Last update delivery date was 30-Jul.

Now expected delivery date is 31-Jul.

Wtf auspost. How long does it take to drive something from Melbourne to Sydney. I could have walked it here already.

        • +1

@geoffs87: Should be 3 days. Max. I have always got goods from Melbourne in two days. Looks like they may be getting shipped from elsewhere.

        • @Major Mess:

Yeah says she’s coming from vic, check out the detailed tracking!

  • The previous version may appeal to some as it is shorter.
It doesn't have dual usb charge though.
    but great price non-the-less.
my gearbite purchase was genuine; i have also bought a fake.

      • +2

Holy dooley, that's a lot bigger than I expected

        • I know huh?

I have both and surprised by how much larger and heavier with the new version….

        • The old one is about 10% smaller than the new one.

I have both and it doesn't bother me. I keep it in my backpack anyway. Neither will fit in my pocket. If it's being carried in your backpack it's not going to make a difference the extra length.

I would much rather have a second charging port. This becomes very handy during a black out (or camping at night). I realized with one port, you could either use a USB light for illumination, or charge your tablet/phone. You can't have both. Two ports means you can use it when you need it.

        • +2

          That's what she said.

      • does anyone have comparison size and weight between the new one an previous version?

    • @dash. A noob question but what is the model to the previous/shorter version?

    • +2

Rep, can we get a deal on the older model?

I'd prefer the smaller formfactor, and would rarely want to charge 2 devices anyway.

      • +1

        +1.

    Another Great Deal by doweyy!

Can you please try to convince the Gearbite rep to offer the Xiaomi 20000mAH Powerbank under $25? :)

    Thanks Again

    • +2

It all comes down to competition, probably can't do that for now, but it might pop up eventually :)

      • +1

@dowey…. try harder! You can do it :)

  • bought thanks.

  • Finally bit the bullet, took out the Ebay plus trial and purchased one of these. Do they usually deliver quickly?

    • +1

Since it Melbourne stock, you should receive it within a week.

      • i bought one during the last deal
cost more and it still hasnt arrived yet FML

        giving them a neg rating

        • +1

Agree, I ordered on of these a few weeks ago from the previous deal and it still hasn't arrived. I messaged them and they said it should be arriving today. Nothing so far.

        • Still waiting for mine also..

    • I got mine in 4 days

  • GFG… brought 2 from last deal.. $4 down…

    • Me too. Lucky for Coles price protection.

    • brought 6 :(

      • +4

        Where to?

        • 1 each in the family and friends

        (fixed it for you)

  • A review for these powerbanks?

    • +15

      they are good

    • +1

      If it’s Xiaomi, it’s good :)

  • Does this have fast charging for Samsung phones?

    • +3

Sure does, use it on my S8

      • +1

Are you sure? I purchased this and mine doesn't say fast charging when I plug it in

        • Where did you get it from?
          Many fakes!

        • +2

There are various reason why it doesn't fast charge. Some reason include:

          • Fake Xiaomi
          • Not having fast charge enable on your device
          • Cable used
          • Using both USB Ports to charge 2 device, will turn off quick charge.
  • good enough for me. purchased :)

  • +1

Bought one of these last time around and never received it.

    • From this seller? I would contact the rep to investigate if so, as that seems unusual.

      • -4

Yep, add me to the list of non-received from last sale scam.

        • Would be good if you actually substantiated what you're talking about rather than calling it a scam. How about actually contacting the rep if you haven't received your order?

        • @doweyy: Come on doweyy, it's always a scam when you don't receive goods. There's no chance it was stolen or lost in the mail lol. I've bought twice from this seller with no issue FWIW.

        • -3

@doweyy: I didn't receive my item, quite simple.

        • +1

          @Extremecable:

So why didn't you contact them about it rather than post on here? That's simple.

        • +1

Please PS your ebay id or send ebay message to us, we will happy to follow up.

        • -4

@doweyy: thanks didn't think about that, better do that now since you checked you crystal ball and saw that I hadn't already.

        • -1

@Gearbite: already done via ebay, cheers.

        • @Extremecable: Thanks.

      • How does it seem unusual considering so many are saying the same thing?

        • Because that was the first time I had heard it. This was the first comment saying someone hadn't received theirs yet.

Plus it was unusual because gearbite have a great reputation for fast delivery.

They told me due to the demand that delivery would take longer than usual due to a different shipping method.

  • wondering how much they will be able to drop this thing further, its pretty much the same price for their domestic market in china. must thanks to ebay plus i guess whose gonna be responsible for the postage, but hell yeah, we are the winner here. thanks ebay :)

  • Damn, is this covered with eBay's price protection… That's 2 bucks as I bought in the last deal ;)

  • +3

When will anyone ever put the Pro version with USB-C on sale? Most new phones use USBC and I prefer using the same cable

    • +1

I know, it's ridiculous that its $40+ for the exact same thing but with a usb c charging port instead of micro usb…

I'll just wait it out, I've already got one of these that i bought about 2 years ago and its still going great, next one will definitely need usb c though so i can finally say goodbye to micro usb.

  • +1

ebay plus is giving sellers the excuse to charge for shipping where they previously didn't.

    • In this case, the shipping cost was originally factored in to the $27-$30 pricing, so now eBay plus allows the separation and the consumer to get a better price.

They still have a listing at $27.90 delivered for non-eBay Plus users (this listing is actually cheaper than that) , this is good for people who pay for the subscription or have a trial.

      • You mean they were originally going to charge $10-13 for postage? How do you know this?

What they post as postage for non-plus users can be inflated like some dodgy sellers do with their RRP.

        • I don't know that, but there is a reason that they had the $27.90 pricing in the first place, and a lot of that would be due to shipping costs. Same as a lot of other sellers, such as Futu, Shopping Express (albeit those ones actually over-inflated the shipping costs to ~$15) and others.

  • My battery bank from Kmart broke. Should I buy this because I don’t know if this is a good deal or not. Not really into battery bank specification btw. just need something to hold charge and not break within 2 months.

    • +1

This is one of the best bang-for-your-buck power banks on the market, and at this price it would definitely be worth getting. For reference, I use my original one every day and it's be going for 2 years straight

      • +1

Thanks gonna buy one now. Thanks for the help.

      • +1

I have one of the original xiaomi power banks that I bought back in 2015. I got one of these during the last deal only because it was a great deal. In reality, my original one works perfectly well. I am impressed with how fast this one charges my phone though!

  • im still waiting on mine from the last promo… even though it says shipped

    • last deal are being sent by Auspost mail service at 19th July(last Thursday)and could take 3-7 business days. Please allow couple more days. Please contact us by ebay message if you need any help.

  • I only bit the bullet yesterday and bought one at the higher price, posted today ..There is always ebay plus Free returns policy if I want to save a couple of bucks.

  • If the prices keep dropping at current rate, my guesstimate is within about 3 months - you ll get these for free! 😂

  • Anyone know how heavy this version 2 is? I have the version 1 one, its pretty chunky and heavy..

    • +1

      242 grams

  • Hi, do you sell the version with the type c port? Is it the one you have that's for $27.95? Thanks

  • I want to buy but my phone is S9. does this powerbank can charge USB type C devices ??? anyone?

    • Umm…Yes
You just plug USB end into the power bank and the USB-C into your phone

      • thanks for replying mate. so does this comes with a usb to usb c cable? or that I have to get separately ?

        • Unfortunately it only includes the micro usb for charging the powerbank. You will have to purchase it seprately

  • So I don't know much about powerbanks and I am wondering what the differences are between the one advertised here and this one - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/50000mAh-External-Power-Bank-Dua…

Can you help this noob please?

    • +1

I wouldn’t trust the quality of the cells, circuits, or build.

Would it really be 50,000mAh too? Doubt it.

Input of 1A charging would take forever.

You can take a gamble though, might might be great for your own needs.

    • +2

Dont ever trust unbranded power banks, especially the ones with overinflated battery sizes. Only ever buy branded items!

    • +1

You want something that works, get this one. Want something that will probably break and break your phone battery within the next 3 months, get the unbranded 50000mah battery as 'NOTHING' can go wrong.

      Right?

    • In general, If the battery chemistry is the same, the heavier and larger it is, the more Capacity(mAH/Ah) Or Higher Output(Amp) it can deliver**

so with today's battery technology, to build a 50000mAh power bank, you are required to use 18x 18650 High capacity Li-Ion Cells, in other words, a size roughly half of a brick.

  • Dumb question time…
I bought one from the last deal, just wondering if there are there any English instructions available?
What does the button do, besides turn the LED's on to show the battery level?
Seems its always on and ready to go (starts charging a device as soon as something plugged in).

    • There is a manual booklet with English in the box. Basically according the the manual, you can double click the button for low current charging devices like bluetooth headset.

  • +2

Hey guys the seller gbd_online on eBay has reduced it price by one dollar so it now $15.99 so if you want to save a dollar buy it there I guess?

  • +1

How is this free delivery? unless you signup for eBay Plus you don't get it. A bit misleading.

    • It says [eBay plus] in the title.

      • Yep. Saw that after the post went up!

  • It appears free delivery for eBay Plus has ended?

    • Oh yeah you're right? It looks like it's happened for every cheap item that has a shipping cost?

      • Might be eBay cracking down haha.

        Mobilemall and gbd_online also affected.
