Thanks to djshitu for pointing out that the 2m cables are now discounted! 1m cables are still available for ~$1.51 shipped if you're after something smaller, more info available in this post. Price inclusive of GST.

Cables contain the required 56Kohm resistor, so are safe (I confirmed this here.) I have plenty of these and am very happy with the quality (quite thick cable, gold-plated connectors).

Plenty of other cables in this price range on JoyBuy, such as:

Romoss CB21 1M Type-C/Micro-USB to USB cable - ~$1.09 USD (~$1.47 AUD) - Recommended by Butt Scratcher.

HSC X22 1M Micro-USB/Lightning to USB cable - ~$1.41 USD (~$1.91 AUD) - cable seems very durable, thick and braided. Have used with my iPad Air and iPhone 5s for the past month with no worries. Obviously not MFi certified at this price so buy at your own risk!

      Slightly cheaper and 2m rather than 1. Was tempted to merge but I doubt many people would notice (unless there is a way to bump temporarily?)

      What's also strange is you can have multiple types in your cart at once and they are all discounted.
      Eg I had a green 1m and a black 2m and both discounted.

      Other thing is, if you place 4 order consecutively you will get 4 separate parcels.

      But if you order 4 cables in 1 order, they will squeeze it all into one parcel.

      Shipping must be dirt cheap over there….

      It will charge, but slowly. The switch requires a USB-PD charger (ideally 30W+) and a C-C cable if you want to play and charge.

    I liked these so much that I've stocked up about ~10 of these by now. Still have a lot of devices which are micro usb, so it's nice to have a dongle at the end of it

      Will add that and some others to the OP, thanks - there are quite a few options around this price. I guess people like these because (in comparison to the romoss and others) they are much thicker, have gold plating and have a good track record (plus confirmed safe with the 56k resistor).

      What is the model of the mobile phone? This will be suitable to charge all phones with a Type-C charging port (not Micro USB).

          Sorry, some LG phones have Type C and some have Micro USB, so I'll need a model number/name to be sure (for example, LG G6 or LG H8xx).

    What is the data transfer speed with this cable? Is it USB2 or USB3 data rate?

    If it's USB2, then this cable is only really good for charging.

    Bought 2 of these 0n 29th July and it got delivered today to Melbourne on 6th of August, so thats 6 working days. Cant believe It tbh bcz it got delivered faster than some items i bought from sellers in Melbourne on eBay….lol
