Belated thanks for the heads up; I was about to give up after going to two other stores with no success but managed to get the last(?) 2DS. Shout out to Ned Kelly for remaining chill after probably being inundated by ozbargainers for most of the day.
Called up BigW Macquarie Centre and got the only one left (white with pink). Other half works down there so he collected it. Nothing at Erina or Tuggerah.
Lol I was there at the same time. Didn't find anything whatsoever. Not a surprise at Macquarie tho.
$99 for a brand new 3ds xl is no-brainer for such a great piece of tech.

Fair point, I should have paid closer attention to the time that had elapsed.
But to be honest any discount item in a department store mentioned here has a very high chance of being out of stock by the time you get there. Original poster was wasting his time and ours as well.
We've got the 2DS XL and 3DS XL in stock at our local Big W… but they dont seem to be marked down.

None left ant any of the few stores I went to in Sydney. Did see plenty of the New 2DS XL model in all the various iterations. Animal Crossing, Black/Turquoise, Pikachu, Poké Ball & White/Orange. Along with some $99 NES and $119 SNES classic consoles.
Lilydale had a couple of 2DS yu gi oh left for $59 as of 4pm this afternoon. There might have been 3DS ones too but I was only interested in the 2DS. Items were not marked as $59 and the guy behind the counter didn't realise the special until scanned.
Got a 2ds Mk7 , they said stuff was missing from the box turns out just the charger.(Have a charger) Gave me 10 bucks off brought a case for $10, total for that 59. Console game and case :) Thanks to OP!

Man… there was hardly any stock left on Friday morning. From memory, Majura had the most consoles (6?) but by the time I called at 8:30am they were all gone. You snooze, you lose.
Picked up a 2DS at Runaway Bay first thing this morning, as of 8:15 they still had a pink MK 2DS and a Yo-Kai watch 2DS.
Nothing of note at Altona Meadows, unless you want CoD: Infinite Warfare for $10 (XB1).
Be sure to jailbreak it once you get it, also a 128gb sd card for all the free games

I found a New 3DS XL in metallic black for $99 and the blue Pokemon Sun 2DS for $59. There might be other clearance specials around the stores.
