I thought I was quick enough. Haha. Price now in the title.

  • Still not… state the price after discount please

    • That is price after discount. original price is $299

  • Sorry, but Stanley has gone to sh*t over the last decade or so. No deal for me.

    • I wonder if the down-voters own Stanley tools, I certainly do (unfortunately).

      • Didn't down vote you because I think exactly the same. Quality slightly above kmart tools

    what…no cable ties??

  • The lowest I recall is $150 on catalogue

    • Thats how much I paid for them a few years ago. I haven't seen them do 50% off since.

I've bought this set. Use it every time I work on the car.
Did my suspension on my Honda. I've thrown the tools a few times out of frustration.
They're good IMO. First set of tools I've bought so I don't really have a comparison :O

I have these tools too and i find it to be good. Maybe not super heavy duty to be used professionally but for working around the car and some other household chores, it's more than sufficient. My next project is changing the suspension on my accord. I know it's a tough job to do that's why i have been holding it off. What other tools you've used besides this tool set?

      • I've gotten some of the toolpro stuff such as their drill, impact driver and grinder. But not really much besides the stanley tool kit.
It was more than enough to do the suspension! I've changed a few engine parts and did my whole brake setup and i cant really fault the set.
Though if you were to change the springs on your suspension, I'd suggest getting an impact driver. I had to ratchet a spring compressor and it took too much time haha.

        • I guess i'll need to invest on an impact driver first then. I heard that it helps a lot especially when you are doing it by your self. Thanks for the tip.

It does not matter if it is cheap or lower quality it still does the job and if one piece breaks then replace it.

Think your wrong there, Ive never broken shit quality tools. But I've rounded couple bolts in the past using crap tools. Never again

      • These aren't too bad to leave in the back of the boot and to use occasionally. Just dont expect them to last beyond the weekend warrior work.
I wouldnt spend more than $140 on them.

I have a combination of sidchromes and kingchromes and they;re still going strong after 25 years of regular abuse.

Like OP, bought this set several years ago (~8 years) for $180 or so on special. Has been great, use it regularly to work on my old troopy + many other mates cars, all the chrome vanadium spanners and sockets + attachments are good quality and the ratchet drivers have been solid. Breaker bar is a life saver for old seized bolts.
