      Benson is an irrelevant standard these days since he stopped reviewing cables many years ago.

      SuperCharge breaks USB specification like other proprietary fast charging tech. QC 2.0/3.0, Samsung AFC, MTK PumpExpress, VOOC and Dash Charge to name a few.

      There is no harm in using them or this cable though. It'll pull the correct voltage/amps and the 5A will only kick in if you have the correct charger.

        How can this cable do 5A? 3A is the maximum for Type-C to Type-A if it's a regular & compliant cable.

        Also would like to add that while "Benson Approved" is no longer relevant, you should now stick to "IF Certified" cables and chargers.

          I think you may have missed the part where I said that SuperCharge does not follow the specifications.

          If more phone manufacturers would use Quick Charge 4+ then we'd have USB-IF compliant chargers and cables.

          Under the USB-C specification it's not supposed to be drawing more than 3 amps. That hasn't stopped hundreds of phones having their own proprietary charging tech so you have nothing to worry about.

          Dash charge is at 4A so I would assume that this cable would work since it's rated to 5A. Unless someone else knows for certain, buy one and see!

    Huawei Supercharge is brilliant. 4000mah battery on my p10 plus charges as fast as the oneplus 6 which has a smaller battery. One thing tho, the battery is atrocious. 8am til 3pm and it's zapped to 20%, this involves using snap which is a heavy drainer.

    Surprisingly the xiaomi mi6 which I got overseas has a smaller battery but lasts longer? Hmm, even when the p10 is at 1080p it still can't hold up. That mi 6 can go from 8am til 8pm no joke.

    Just wanted to vent a little.

    At what point will they be able to shrink laptop chargers to the size of smartphone chargers? Is 5A enough for a laptop? Their chargers are usually 65w aren't they? I'm sick of travelling with my laptop charger even though it's one of the smallest on the market.
