Orotec Sports Wireless Earphones $39 (Was $109) @ Catch

40

First time poster, long time lurker :)

Came across this on catch:

Orotec Sports Wireless Earphones with Charging Pod

Basic specs (according to them - haven't been able to find any reviews to verify):

  • Bluetooth distance: Approximately 8 meters without barriers
  • Charging time about 1 hour
  • Talk time is about 3-5 hours
  • Music time about 3-5 hours
  • Standby time is about 120 hour

I tried to do a bit of a google dig and can't really find much in terms of review on these - anyone got any experience with Orotec or even these earphones?

  • Anyone had experience with these? Seems like a really decent buy

It's quite laughable they've tried to smack a "brand" on these tried to pass them off as worth $39, much less $109.

From the pictures and the box, these are i7s earphones which sell for under $14 elsewhere. Eg Zapals

I have a pair and would not recommend. They are a pain to pair, you pair one with the phone then one with the other and it takes me 10-15min just to get them paired.

Sound quality, well there is no quality, no bass and background static noise too.

Battery life is atrocious, I get about 1 hours use out of them from full.

Also much bulkier, both the earphones and the case, than apple earpods.

      Recommendation : save your money

      • Thanks

        • Much appreciated for the heads up!

      • Me 2. Thanks.

Thanks - Taking your recommendation on board!

I believe they are sold by Orobelle - maybe they meant to type Horrible

      • Thanks mate! Saved me some money.

  • Would like to know as well.

Got one of these. Ugly and bad sound. Not worth even $10 imo.

    • Thanks! Saved me $39 :)

  • RRP $109???? Not even worth 10 bux.

wtf… they've use mspaint to put a blue dot over the red dots..

  • bought these blind and I now have to hand in my ozbargain card. These are terrible. The worst part is I bought 2 pairs. Does anyone know what catch of the days return policy is. These came a week later than the rest of my order. In a hand written satchel, looked like someone is shipping these from their backyard shed.

    • Call Catch customer service, they are very receptive to such experiences and usually quite helpful.
