Strawberries 250g Punnet 2 for $3 (or $1.80 Each) @ Woolworths

590

Was out shopping and saw that 250g punnet of strawberries were cheap. $1.80 each or 2 for $3 ($1.50 each). I think there were $2.50 per punnet last week.

Coles has also got them on sale - 3 for $5 which works out to be $1.67 per punnet.

I got awesome strawberries at woolies a few days ago at 2 for $4. Big, fresh and flavorful. Normally disappointed bur was surprised by them.

  • I saw $1.6 for one at Woollies yesterday.

    • Same at my local. No other offer for 2

    • my local had it $1 each if you buy 2 or more. So its pretty much $1 each.

  • $1.56 Aldi

    • Each or for two?

      • Each. Just bought them from there.

Thanks. Could have saved $0.12 if you bought two from Woolies!

That said, it would have been cheaper to buy from Aldi.

        • @chibot: Aldi usually has better deals with strawberries as their regular pricing, I've noticed.

  • Woolies SA were $3 per punnet…and came with free green beards (mouldy)

    nice deal OP
for anyone going to korea would recommend trying to eat Korean Strawberries, literally the best in the world

    • I totally agree since I go there often. 🤣

    • Are they very expensive? Why are they the best?

    • Amen. So sweet and fresh!

  • Coles Carlingford today: $1.20 each 250g punnet

  • I would like to see someone do a test of all strawberries around the world to see which ones are the best. I think Australian strawberries are very bland generally.
Perhaps use a sugar meter (refractometer) to standardise the test!

  • In other news, seasonal produce is cheapest when in season

These strawberries suck, just had some today. Taste like water

  • I just got mine for free. A problem with the weight they said…. presumably a bit less than the stated 250g. Made my morning!

    • Best bargain!

  • Sweet deal.

  • The Driscol (? Spelling) branded ones which come in the overly large flimsy plastic are terrible Tate and quality.

The smaller square shaped packs (forgot the brand sorry) currently taste the best, but quality of strawberries is pretty mixed.

Finally, the 2 other brands that are in the shorter rectangle boxes are great quality strawberries, some very large, but the flavor is somewhat average.

    Working in produce.
