Granted not as cheap as the previous deal, but grabbed one nevertheless. At this price it's still cheap compared to what others are offering — especially since this includes a freebie Hoya filter.

    Blows away the kit lens in terms of sharpness. But you are stuck with 16mm.

        I use the 16mm pancake lens (it was a kit lens at one point) more than the 18-55mm.

  Missed the previous $549 price and was kicking myself for not getting it quicker.
  But just 3 days ago purchased the paypal voucher using this deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/397503
  Today I purchased this lens with 20% PHASER code and used the paypal voucher to fully paid it.
  I'll be going to Japan in about a month time to claim another 10% from the full price.

  So if my math is correct
  $589.00 - 20% = $471.20
  $471.20 - 15% = $400.52
  $400.52 - $53.54 (GST Refund) = $346.98

  And plus cashrewards, I believed this would be an extremely good price!
