hehe funnily enough my case is fine. Light household use only though.
Otherwise great screwdrivers for the price imo.

        same here

OP: "Looks like this deal is back on" - when was it off? pretty sure this is standard price now.

        • Maybe. I only searched up here which showed Expired. Didn't get around to checking Price Hipster.

        • deals automatically expire after a certain amount of time iirc

I have the following one. First thing I think about with tools is how they will be stored.

      https://www.bunnings.com.au/stanley-20-piece-screwdriver-set…

      • Agree. Worth spending the extra money on this set of Stanley screwdrivers.

  • +1

Great price but if you only need PH 1 and 2 and flat blades, sometimes you can find the set of 6 at Reject Shop for around $10, not Stanley though but still similar CR V quality.

  • Will buy. How long did the last deal go for? think it will last till the weekend?

  • +1

    Good for Father's day?

tools aint bad, case is horrible. only buy if you plan on ditching the case and storing the tools elsewhere.

  • Wish Bunnings would make it easier to see what is on sale and not, can't tell via their website if there is a current sale on an item.

  • Yeah this appears on here now and again.

They didn't look as good in real life when i checked them out months ago, but probably still worth the money.

  • Great kit, have had mine for about 6 months now. Light use. Case hasn't fallen apart yet, but I can see it happening soon.

can't you screw it back together if it happens?:)

  • Was marked as $12 somehow locally last time they had this price. Bought two sets for car and just spare set for around home. Case is crap yeah, if a lot of use would get a new case.

  • Got this in a previous deal. Case is crap but just keep them under the kitchen sink for light use.

  • My current Stanley screwdrivers have worn at the ends and now they seem to strip screws pretty easily. Is there a better brand?

    • Better than Stanley? Heaps. Stanley are the cheapo brand and very average quality.

    • Always buy chrome vanadium made tools, it is always stamped on them.

  • This set is not bad for household use. Easy to store away as well.

  • Yeah, dont get these. The screwdrivers are soft/rubbish quality and the case wins awards for most annoying case in the world

  • It is not the best , not for pro use but for home use it will last , if you own a home it is very handy , I bought one last year and it worth the money .

  • A few comments have said that the quality of these aren't great, can you guys recommend a better set please? I would like to get something like this for Father's Day.

    • It depends on what job does your dad and hobbies.

      • Casual house repair every now and then, he's also retiring soon so I'm thinking get him a better set that can last in case he does want to pick up a new hobby.

        • +1

This Stanley set is more than enough as well as the above mentioned Reject Shop 5 screwdriver set for $10.
These are made of chrome vanadium steel or Cr V which is stamped on the tool (always check before buying) so it's good enough even for a trader.
And for you dad I suggest you search for a nice tool bag too.

        • @dealhunt: Thank you! Maybe I will get this set then… and a nice tool bag :)

  • How is this a bargain when it has been $17.98 all year?

    • True, it's their usual price.

Yep not a bargain…. stick to the facts peoples.

    • how reliable is pricehipster?
why does it not include chemist warehouse?

  • +1

Screwdrivers are fine, the holder is abysmal.

  • Great set of drivers use these at work all the time.

  • This a good set and for those who need to repair or clean dyson vaccum heads. This is the only set that has a long, thin shaft for T8 screwdriver.

None of other tools including multi or the cheapy ones imported from China has this T8 that can remove the base thread off from the brushing kit. They are all simply too wide

I went to two stores as first one even shows online has stock but nowhere to be found.

After buying these the last time I realized that I wasted my money, these are rubbish.
