Is it just me or do Woolworths Rewards bonuses really suck compared to flybuys? I moved house recently and the Woollies near me is better but Coles keeps dragging me back with 2,000 bonus points for $100 spend offers.

    • I agree with you. I'm currently on a 4*$50 for Coles for 10,000 points. Woolworths currently has a buy something from Woolies for 4 weeks and go into the draw for a round the world holiday. Needless to say the major shop is Coles and we just pop into Woollies to spend over $5 once a week (so we can get the bonus 30 points for using our own bags).

    • So does that mean your doing no price comparison and just flocking to the one that claims to be losing you less money?

      • I do the price comparison but all things being equal I will shop from the one with the most points. I also shop for things on special such as cleaning products, toilet paper etc with long shelf life.

i find that on basically everything we buy, woolworths is about 5% more expensive on average. i dont mind paying the price premium for access to a nicer store that is a bit closer, and also it is next door to a huge fruit and veg store that we prefer to get fresh produce from.

however, if coles keeps lugging me 2,000 bonus points every time i spend $100, i'll keep going there…
