    Hey teslar, can you sell me on either PX550 or Momentum 2 Wireless. Why would I go one over the other
    ANC not a big deal to me so not looking a the BOSE

      PXC550 if you travel and arguably better mic for calls. Momentum is you are after style and don't mind a little bit more bulk.

      PXC ear cups fit snug around ears due to shape, so smaller but still comfy and Momentum are more oval, potentially more room/air so doesn't get as hot.

      The headband is better padded with PXC.

      Comparable.

    $300 for refurbished is a bit too high, the exciting ones in history: Sony 1000MX2 for ~$275 shipped & BOSE QC35 for ~$279. exciting times, or sad times if you missed those…

      The Momentum 2 wireless from last deal were on-ear, the current deal are over-ear. There is quite a big difference between the two.
      Not sure whether its worth $300 refurbished though…

        The $249 for Momentum Wireless from last deal was Over Ear but they sold out in less than 2 hours. In fact, the Momentum Wireless Over Ear was $249.95 over the past two weeks from Sennheiser outlet. They increased the price today or yesterday.

          Can confirm that Over ears have been $249 until last day or 2 as I've been monitoring. Different models come/go every day.

          The only thing that has me scratching head is whether these are indeed v1 or v2 as there is no mention of this on Sennheiser site. Mine, @ $249 price should be here soon.

          Take note this will be treated as an overseas transaction and may incur foreign exchange fee depending on your card. I got hit with additional $7.95 :(

          @deltakilo: There is no V1 Wireless, Sennheiser only has one Momentum Wireless model which was released with M2 wired, which I believe that's why it's called M2 Wireless.

          @deltakilo: Ridiculous that they still do not clearly state on their website that all purchases will be overseas transactions. A year ago I was hit with this extra change from my credit card when purchasing replacement ear pads. I complained and they ended up sending me a 2nd pair of replacement ear pads. You and everyone else who this happens to should complain. They might refund you the $7.95 or send you something else.

          I sent email at obvious omission of being overseas transaction whilst conveying how everything else like URL, address, dispatch, emails etc indicate an Aussie origin. Suggested they update web to indicate transaction may incur foreign transaction fee. See if that still falls on deaf ears too or gets acted on give now the popularity by OB

          @xmchen: Gotta love the net. Advertising from retailers seem to make a point of having v2 in title yet nothing on outlet ite. Also I recall seeing a review mentioning that v2 wireless was a 2017 release/

          Got cans today and pads smell like leather whereas v2 corded versions are now Pleather. Mind you even with genuine PU Leather these days they manage to add the leather smell. Sound and comfort test tomorrow.

          I have not seen any reviews regarding a V2 of the Wireless. The What Hifi review of the orginal Momentum Wireless back to 2015 is already calling it "Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless". If Sennheiher indeed release a V2 version, I hope they can make the can sounds as good as the wired 2.0 in wired mode.

    Took the plunge on the Momentum - was aiming for the $99 (Ivory) but sold out, likely while I was thinking about it, so paid $129 for the black.

    I suppose a massive improvement on the HD 4.20's I was going to buy this week :)

        Cannot agree on this one with you, I have been trying to buy one. The first order I placed two weeks ago went through then got told there was no stock in your warehouse. It has always been out of stock ever since then.

    Can vouch for the momentum over ear as I bought a pair on last deal. The sound quality is amazing but when using wired… it'snot as good as the wired one. 100 $ over ear is a no brainer for me.

    Own PXC550 as well. Its comfortable and with all possible options available. Doesnt sound nearly as good as momentum IMHO.

    Wow. Momentum Wireless were $249 then jumped to $299 for either black or ivory. Now the ivory has gone up an extra $100ish above price of black. I only took brief look so not sure but within the hour, no more Momentum Wireless remaining anyway.

    I'm just really miffed at ordering ivory when listed at $249 only to be told none left so got blacks and then ivory relisted only days after. They could have offered to wait a week for 'new' stock rather than just refund or get black.

    Too many OB Professionals on the hunt now <Tongue>from</cheek>.
