"Points will only be awarded to the primary policyholder after the policy has been held for 60 continuous days and will be based on the level of cover held at that time."

Could i join and just cancel my membership after 60 days? or will there be some fee? sounds to good to be true…

    • I was also wondering that. I just looked into the extra and it's not compitative( much lower limit) to other simlar product but I was thinking I can switch for 2 months and than switch back. How much is 120000 point worth in and?

      • Syd to bkk return for two? That's what I used it for last year. Plus taxes.

      • Or could sell them on here for at least $1500 including the bonus referral points

    • Thats what I'm doing - my 60 days is up on Monday

120k is for couples though not single. Used 1-1.2c per point as a rough guide.

120K is the highest bonus points I have seen from qantas insurance. Seems a good deal if you are looking for qff point.

  • It is rubbish, if you get a quote you will see what I mean. I selected mid policy and it is only 15k bonus points.

Agree it’s rubbish. You have to pay ridiculous $ for top couple cover to get those points.

    • sorry OP I don’t mean your post is rubbish but Qantas assure doesn’t give points for free anymore. They pretty much make you buy those points :(

Each to their own, but I've actually been a customer for 2 years and get my money back in claims every year :) Last year I compared it to others on a comparison site - I could get $8 less a year with someone else, but no points, which I get from the app for walking. So it's a win for me :)

        • there are other deals out there too. The other Health providers may not have as good reputations Qantas Assure but you can get a lot a lot more than just your money back.

eg: Cashrewards $140 + Compare the Market Gift card + health provider offer (gift card/waives waiting period), and then you still get all your money back by claiming extras

But if I am aiming to stock up my QFF balance I would go for this :)

        • @b0b0:
Never knew compare the market was on cashrewards! Also what's the ctm gift card you mentioned?

        • @jdogg:

compare the market give out $50 coles gift card to both referrer and referee. The referrer just need to send an email to CTM saying: “I referred Mr XXX who purchased xxx cover, quote number 1234567", and CTM will give $50 gift card to both of you. One condition is the new policyholder has to hold the policy for at least 6 weeks

Also, from time to time iSelect provides gift card on sign up (used to be $200 gift card back in April 2018), if you ring up CTM about this, they will match their gift card to iSelect offer

  • Oh damn should have waited! This is the most I have seen it. I signed up when it was max 100k. Cost me $30 extra a month than my current provider who hardly had any extras included. Now I have full extras to use. Still deciding if I will stick with them when the 2 months is up though.

  • Thanks for this, glad I waited from the offer earlier this month!
