Original PENNY5 5% off Sitewide on eBay Deal Post

I was looking to buy a portable hard drive to extend my ps4 storage and was looking for a 2 TB hard drive. Came across this from office work's eBay store. Can only use 5% off but is still cheaper than any other deal for this hard drive.

  • These are the ones you can use internally in the PS4 aren't they? Great price.

    • No, this is just a portable hdd but now there is a feature in ps4 where you can extend storage using any external harrdrive.

      If you mean are these the ones that can be opened up to remove the drive from, yes, that's correct.

    You can squeeze a bit more through 10% cashback at Amazon AU

    $79 - $7.90 cashback = $71.10

    • Good find.

    • That is the cheapest price. Using shopback the ebay deal would be $73.10.
      Still, ebay would be better if you dont like waiting for cashback.
      I had ebay $25 voucher so had to use it. It is annoying that we can't stack evoucher with a code voucher though.

  • Would anyone recommend one of these for Xbox One?

      They have listed the same drive if the external drive is less than 3tb. I do have one of these already but use it for laptop as a external drive. Hopefully its good.

      I just found out you can actually take out internal drive and stick in the ps4 internally but not sure about xbone. I think it should be good for both the console qs an external storage but dont have experience.

      • I'm using one of these I bought in the last amazon sale along with a 4tb wd with no problems for the xbox. I also have one in my ps4 since 2015 and it still works fine.

        • Do you use the Seagate expansion drive in the ps4 as an external or internal drive?
          How is the loading speed with the games? I am really trying to find this out. Thanks

          @kisshell9:
          Internal mate. The ability for the ps4 to use an external hdd wasn't around 3 years ago. This was only added as a feature in the past year sometime. I opened up the ps4 and upgraded the 500gb to the 2tb. Speed wise it was just as fast as the normal 500gb was until getting full. Now that it's nearly full it has slowed down alot. It's still bearable tho. Hope this helps somewhat.
