Prime Broadband (NBN) $5 Discount/Month for First 12 Months (New Signups) $64 for 50/20 or $84 for 100/40 Unlimited, No Contract

140
CUBE

Hey everyone,

In light of Telecube’s announcement, we’re offering a $5 discount on our services for twelve months if you sign up with the promo code CUBE. A little bit about Prime Broadband; we currently use Vocus, but we’re building our own transit and peering mix. We offer two unlimited plans with no contracts (Prices before promo code applied):

  • 100/40 for $89
  • 50/20 for $69

We’re not going to charge you connection, processing, or cancellation fees. These plans take into account nbn’s new price construct, so we won’t need to raise prices in a few months. All connections include a static IP, and in most cases, we can activate your service within a few hours.

How quickly can I connect?
In most instances, Prime can provision your service within a few hours. However, there are occasional issues in processing orders. If we run into any problems, we’ll immediately notify you.

Can I use my current router?
Probably. As long as it supports your nbn™ technology type – and can handle PPPoE authentication – you shouldn’t have any issues with your existing device.

Can I move from another provider?
Absolutely! Ensure you specify that you’re moving from another provider when you place your order. Just remember that you must reconfigure your router.

How can I pay?
We accept all major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, and AMEX) as well as PayPal, BPAY, bank transfer and direct debit we don't charge any fees.

Do I need a contract
All of our plans are month-to-month, and you can cancel at any time, free of charge. We want you on your terms – Not because of a legal obligation

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to speak up.

    Where are your POI?
    What's your expected peak speeds on 100/40 & 50/25?

Do you have a Whirlpool subforum?

We're currently using Vocus L3 platform, but intending to move to L2 with our own transit and peering mix by the end of the years. Currently ironing out the details. Will have an update regarding our L2 platform by the end of September, which we'll announce on our Whirlpool thread here:

      https://forums.whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2748943

      Typical peak speeds are:
      50/20 - 47 Mbps
      100/40 - 87 Mbps

      POPs:
      - Melbourne
      - Sydney
      - Adelaide
      - Perth
      - Brisbane

    PRICE in title

  • nbn’s new price construct.what the

      • Tbh, 12mbps tier should never been a choice to begin with. Upgrading from adsl2+ to nbn to get ADSL speed.

Except people upgrading from adsl to nbn I guess?

        • yeah it'll be price conconsious & those who want a internet connection & a landline.

I'm waiting for a comeback of the old virgin landline/internet in a box over 3G. which is what my oldies really need (they have a landline & a 4g modem <1Gb/mth).

        • Isn't ADSL2+ going to be cut off? The upgrade in technology alone is enough. There's also a slight improvement in speed for 12/1, especially with uploading.

      • Rubbish.

This is tempting as Mungi just dropped their 100/40 plan and offered the same price for their 50/20 plan but only 5 months with the discount… Hmmm

      Hi Bunnybash,

It is valid for 12 months from signup.

      Thanks Zane.

  • Exetel 50/20 unlimted for $59.99. Can someone pls explains why this is a better deal than Exetel?

    • 12-month lock-in at that price.

Hmmm I'll stick to my $99 100/40mbps, unlimited data, all calls, smart modem, ttv2 and foxtel with evening speed of 94mbps+ without worrying about a price increase or them going bust

    • Who r u with Dez?

      • Telstra yep Telstra, thought nbn would finally mean no being stuck with them as my only option but they gave me the best deal so I continued with them and I'm happy

        • Under what circumstances did they offer this deal?

        • @AzzaD: through negotiations

        • @Dezeption: I assume that's foxtel Now?

  • We do include a static IP free of charge

Can I transfer from Telecube FTTN/B without having to disconnect their service?

  • Hi

We can do a transfer you will need to enter our username and password once the connection is live on our end.

You wouldn't loose internet until it is live on our end

    Zane.

  • the site map bit outdated we alresdy have HFC..

    • Hi Du99.

The sitemap is pulled directly from NBN the sitemap sometimes tend's to be a little out of date compared to the NBN rollout site page.

      Zane.

  • you don't do phone do you VOIP

    • Not at the moment unfortunately
It is coming within the next few months

      Zane

  • Good to see a new RSP offering sensible or dare I say, sustainable pricing. The discount just makes it that little bit more attractive.

    • Thank you for your feedback it is appreciated

      • Zane.
  • Nice prices even before discount and static IP as well.

Bookmarked the site, ill be upgrading in 1-2months to 100/40 and Mungi stopped selling that literally days after i connected to them.

    • Hi Axe

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns

      Zane.

  • Hi Zane,
Looking at upgrading from Adsl to this plan on Fttn. What modem do you recommend? Currently using Archer D7 AC1750. Thanks

    • Hi,

Sorry about the delay I would recommend the NetComm NF18ACV VDSL2/ADSL2+ Wireless AC1600 Modem Router.

You could even get a decent TP-LINK VDSL2 modem for $180-$200

      Zane.

      • Thanks. Msy has
        Tp link Archer vr600v $199
        Asus dsl-ac52u $138

Either of these ok? Both say vdsl2

        • +1

Both are fine you shouldn't run into any issues the tplink is a bit basic on the interface side the Asus has a better interface (more advanced).

          • ZC
        • How did you go with your modem/router?

          Zane.

        • @ZCPrimeBB:

Got the Asus, and signed up. Thanks

        • @Ocean:

          Great to hear!

  • Thanks for this, just signed up

Hi, we are currently with Mungi NBN, and they ended up discontinuing their 100mbps plans when they merged to the Layer 2 network. We are now looking for a better deal. Zane can I please ask you honestly if Prime Broadband is at any point going down the same path? I do not want to join up and then be notified that these plans are being wiped, thanks mate

      • also worried about this now

        • +1

My reply on WP: We took the alternative path, we are keeping it we have no plans to remove it.

          Zane.

      • I have now attentioned this comment on Whirlpool, cheers
