I think these drives are ideal to use in car audios as they are small and won’t get bashed easily.

yeah, i like these stubby usb drives in the car media player, less likely to get damaged if reaching across to glove box etc.
Also ones that don't have there annoying flashing activity/power led light on side/rear. Can also be distracting in car.

You can format storage devices up to 2TB with FAT32, so yes.
Though, there is a limit of maximum 4GB per file, so keep that in mind.
You will need an app like Rufus to do it as windows only does fat32 up to 32gb.
