What, i never knew you could earn Qantas points when shopping online with Woolies. When did that start???

    • +2

about 6 months or so from memory.

it is either QFF, or cashrewards.

      • Can you do both?

        • No; only one referrer can "win", whoever you do last, and that's the only one that will get paid which is how they fund your cashback / QFF points.

@ely: Would prefer cash then vs the points.

        • @virhlpool: That's generally the way I'd choose, depends how many dollars and how many points though.

      • I thought you could only do cash rewards on your "first shop"…when did that change? Probably 6 months ago as well haha

  • Qantas points will not be earned on the purchase of gift cards or orders redeemed with a gift card.

    Well that sucks.

lol, dreams can't come true all the time.

  • So I need to spend $500 to get enough QPs to buy a pair of RM Williams.

    • But RM Williams cost $545? Plus you get $500 of Woolies stuff… am I missing something?

      • No, it was just good to know.

        • +2

did you have a stash of points already? beacuse they boots are now about 56k QFF points.

Mate just had a look, you need 56000 points (which equates to $14000), don't know where you got $500 from. https://www.qantasstore.com.au/search/?q=RM+Williams

He's referring to the $315 plus 2000 QFF points deal from last week. You needed 2000 QFF points on top of the money. It was a good bargain. Looking forward to my two pairs arriving early next month. :)

        • Got my pair of the Chestnut Yearling Classics and i absolutely love them. Best purchase ever, got them for $360 through David Jones and elsewhere for giftcards. Hope you enjoy mate.

    • Just buy some wine on qantas store

    • Getting the QP is just a bonus if you're going to spend $500 on groceries.

  • I need to remember this.

I lost a stack of QFF points when they expired.

The everyday rewards was enough to keep them ticking over, but since that stopped I forgot about them. If I do this every 6 months that should be enough to keep my QFF active.

Even easier for me is to use the Qantas Assure app.

After the free trial, you still earn points, just at a reduced rate. I generally pick up a couple of hundred points per month without needing to do anything extra.

      • Earnt to almost 11000 points from a couple of years walking

      • I wish I knew that before..

        Have signed up.

Assume this stacks with Woolworth reward points, there's 5x points on liquor right now (and you can set your account to transfer those to qantas points). $400 spend would get back 2470 points.

Not sure if this stacks with credit card spend too, I get 1 point per dollar.

    • I'm sure it would stack with credit card spend. AMEX Edge nets 3 points per dollar on supermarket spend, so 7ppd combined certainly ain't bad.

      • Still not as good as using Amex card purchased e-gift card for woollies shopping (just 1% less per my calculation though)

Fun fact, buying Woolworths gift cards when on eBay using the QF store earns points

  • Does anyone know how long it takes for the points to be credited? I know it says “upto 90”, but that’s theoretical.

    • I thought it was up to 60 days as that’s how long it is of you book a hotel through them. I asked just the other day and that’s they told me.

    • takes a while. In my 2-3 other uses on previous promos, about a month later it turns up.
