[Pre-Order] 8ft MDF Pool Table $379.99 (Free Metro Delivery for Syd, Mel, Bris, Adel) @ TR Sports eBay

Original PLUG 5% off Sitewide on eBay Deal Post

So I've been following these guys for a few years now watching their product inventory grow and expand. I personally haven't bought a Pool Table (or another TR Sport product) yet, but want to bite the bullet on this one. Unfortunately free metro delivery is only for Bris (including Sunshine/Gold Coast), Syd (including Newcastle and Central Coast), Melb and Adelaide. So no luck for WA, NT and Tas but you can still get it shipped to you for a price. As you can imagine, delivery will be expensive. I remember asking for a quote for Central Queensland about 4yrs ago and it was going to cost about $900?! No thanks!

This is currently a pre-order special for $399.99 less 5%. The eBay ad indicates that they will be ready to be shipped by the end of September so will have to wait til then if you want it at this special price. They sell 100s of items including different styles of pool tables, table tennis tables and trampolines. Looking at their website, the same product is currently priced at $499.99 so at $379.99 and free delivery I think this is a great price for an amateur playing table. In the last 12 days they've sold approximately 18 of these via their eBay site.

The price also includes a complete billiard accessories pack which is probably worth a couple hundred dollars all up:
* 4 x pool cues
* 1 x cross cue
* Standard pool balls
* Snooker set
* Kelly pool shaker set
* Scoring board
* Cover
* Gloves
Plus a few more items (you'll see the photo on the eBay ad)

It will take hours to set it up as it doesn't come pre-installed. They do offer installation for $199 extra on the Metro deliveries so could be worth getting a professional to do it for you if you have no patience like me. Here is a link on how to install their MDF pool tables minus the LED part

If you've purchased through these guys before please let us know if you have been happy with their product.

    I have one of these. For the price, you really can't complain if you're not too fussy and you just want to have some casual games with some mates.

    The table has english style pockets, the felt is slow so the balls will lose speed quick and it is very very easy to mark them so hard english/spin on the balls will definitely make visible indentations on the felt. The table has a ball-return system which is handy however the board below the pockets are not lined so as the ball drops, it makes a pretty loud banging sound as it hits the board but this can easily be side-stepped by attaching some think material on the board either as you are installing the table or retrofitting it directly below the pockets if the table has been assembled. The table does come with accessories listed above but the cues are piss poor and very light so you really should invest in better cues for a better game. The balls are also those smaller pub sized ones so I went to get the full sized Aramis replica and they play much better.

      what does it play like is it a lot different than slate table?

      • yes it is going to be a different play and I think it might be due to the base meterial (MDF) and it is very very hard to get this table absolutely level. I've adjusted the hell out of mine with a spirit level and even though its showing as level, as you hit a ball smack back straight in the middle and see it eventually slowing down, sometimes you can see it veer slightly to the sides, which should not happen on a good table.

      brilliant feedback, THANKS

    • Awesome feedback! Thanks for sharing.

    • Just want to say like the others, awesome feedback from your experience. Much appreciated!

      • awesome guys, happy to help :)

        NOTE: One more thing I want to add, some parts are pretty heavy and I had 2 other people helping me when assembling as you need them to hold the parts properly and evenly whilst you put on the screws. You can maybe make do with just another person but just be mindful that not attaching the parts evenly will result a poorly assembled table and will screw up your games afterwards. You'll be assembling it upside down too so you'll need to flip the fully assembled table with all its weight and size.

  • Only if it ships to WA.

    • They do. Depending on where in WA it will cost you a fair bit.

  • I’ve been to their showroom in Sydney.

    Their tables seem to be good. And they’ve got all sizes and budgets.

    I bought some cues and tips from them. But they turned out to be warped.

    Thankfully the sales team was very friendly and replaced the items without question.

    So, all up a mixed experience.

    Hope this helps.

  • Looks like a great deal, just wish I had the room for it.

  • I just updated the post with the current coupon code of PLENTY10 which means you can get the table for $359.99 delivered.
