20% off Entire Weber Range (e.g. Weber Family Q (Q3100AU) $591.20) + Shipping or Free in-Store Pickup @ Rays

1090

Rays are having a 20-50% off storewide sale, and as part of that sale they are offering 20% off all Weber products. Stack with 3.50% Cashback @ Cashrewards for further savings.

Stellar bargain on the Weber Family Q, Rays is now selling it for $591.20 when its RRP is $739. I've had the Family Q for just under 3 years and it hasn't skipped a beat.

I'd also highly recommend picking up a Q Half Hotplate for the Weber Q/Weber Family Q, or a Baby Q Half Hotplate for the Weber Baby Q, or else you won't have a surface to cook things like chopped onions or eggs (the default setup is two half grills, IMO a half grill and a half hotplate is the best setup).

Could possibly make it cheaper by using discounted Rays Gift Cards.
Another possibility is to use the Good Guys 30 Day Price Guarantee (Credits to Slo20), then stack with discounted Good Guys Gift Cards.

Credits to littlegreenman for posting the Weber Q 2000 LP BBQ $343.20.

    Good work MN :)

      Cheers BA :)

  • I believe they're classed as bulky items, so no go on the free shipping…

  • I'm after a Family Q 3200 (premium model) anyone know of any deals on these?

    • +1

Only stocked by Weber specialist dealers and less likely to have price variations.

      • +1

The premium is basically never discounted. The most you'll get is free accessories.

I don't regret going the premium

        • What kinda of free stuff did you manage to get?

        • @Miikeboyle:

          Depends on the dealer..
Trivets, aparatus, cook book, hot plate.

I got the hot plate heavily discounted because i didnt want a cookbook.

      • Buy the 3100 model, then buy a 3200 lid. Sure you miss out on the fancy piezo, but you'd think theres a saving to be had there.

  • +4

Instead of buying the half plate, if you want to cook onions or eggs just get a teflon sheet to lay over the grill bars.

I was just gonna ask any better solutions for the Q half plate… haha. Thanks for that.

Edit: Can it actually go on top of the naked flame? The BBQ Galore hot plate liner recommends "The Bar-B-Chef Hot Plate Liner is not to be used on grills as the naked flame can cause the liner to melt."

    • you just saved me $40, thanks!

please read my comment above and the next poster's below for your safety..

    • +3

From memory.these are to place on a hotplate and not on the grills (which gets too hot between the grill gaps and exposes the teflon to direct flame). Not sure if its a good thing to allow teflon to get to high a temperature as the coating breaks down and releases toxins into the food or bits start pealing off?

      • +1

Yeah, just get a cast iron pan instead.

  • Anyone using the i grill 2 with a family q. Thinking it might be an option as I love my q

  • I've got a Q2000 which is a single cast iron grill plate. Would the half plate just go on top of the existing grill?

    • -1

I would say so, yes, if you have only a single grill plate!

    • +1

nah you pull out the grill plate and drop in the solid half plate.

  • +1

Mate I’ve been waiting for a deal on the half plates! I was tempted to pull the trigger with the 10% eBay deal but this is better. Thanks so much

    • Great to hear, I'm glad this deal helped.

  • Pardon my ignorance but Ozbargain seems to have a love for Weber, much like Dyson vacuum cleaners. What's so special about it?

    • +9

Weber products are built to last. They're sturdy and the way the cooking works (the lid is the centrepiece) is that the smoke is circulated around the food, as opposed to a standard BBQ where the smoke just rises into the air. The Weber therefore gives the food much better flavour as the flavour isn't vanishing into thin air (literally).

      • +1

        Thanks for the insights!

        • Pleasure. Are you buying one?

      • Warranty is great. A few years on rusted hot plate. Weber couriered new ones a few days.

    • I bought my Q2000 for a fantastic price a couple of years ago to replace a generic 4 burner and wish I did it sooner. Heats more evenly, uses wayyyy less gas, and when cooking on high heat and lid down it takes hardly any time to cook most things. Plus when you have meat with a decent fat and juice content (but not too much obviously), such as chicken thighs, it smokes real nice to give it a great flavour.

Banana, buy it! The hype is real - I just followed everyone on here and bought a Weber Q about 6 months ago - never looked back since. The food tastes brilliant, cooking is easy and fast as well! I rarely do BBQ before but now I do lamb chops every second weekend! It’s definitely one of my favourite products/purchases!

  • Might finally grab that pizza stone

    • Does a Weber get hot enough to do a pizza?

  • +1

    Thanks got the hot plate!

  • What’s the difference between the iGrill and iGrill2 ?

    • I grill 2 can handle more sensors and also displays the temp on the actual unit as well

      • Is there a sensor that just reads the temp inside the Weber? Not the actual food?

For us folks in Perth, BCF will match Ray's prices

    • +3

BCF giving away free $79 chair as well for over $100 spend. Score!

      • Edit — found the chair promo

        Good find!
        Much appreciated!

  • Rays website keeps breaking. Anyone else having issues?

  • I'm in the market for a Genesis II. Anyone seen these go on special?

  • Thanks mate. Bought a toboggan.

    • Nice. This?

      • Yeah. Hoping the kids can use it on grassy hills

  • Has anyone managed to price beat this with good guys? Rays is not on their approved price beat list

    • Nope, tried this arvo.

Will probably pick one up at Rays or BCF in the morning.

      • How at BCF? They are full price on their website?

      • Also, sale ends midnight tonight so no chance of price match tomorrow.

    • Picked one up from Good Guys in Perth this afternoon for $590 price matching Rays.

  • Do the Family Weber Qs go on sale often?
Is this as cheap as they get?

    • The family is just out of budget for us.
But I’ve been told the smaller ones are a bit “weak” to seat a steak.

      • My Baby Q sears a steak very nicely. Not a massive bark however, but that's best left to charcoal/heat beads.

    • +2

This is the best price I’ve seen on them.
You may get lucky with a 20% off eBay sale

Is it worth getting a Natural Gas Weber Q Family?
Is it part of this sale even?

    • Looks like all of them are LP gas.
Unfortunately Rays do not sell the Natural Gas ones.
Bad for who has a NG soket :/

  • Did anyone get onto this deal 3 years ago? At the time eBay were giving $50 for a $100+ spend on selected tech products so it reduced the purchase price on a Weber Baby Q to $139. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/209261

    • Doesn't beat the 50% off bbq's on ebay from a few years ago. Never again will you see Webers sold at 50% off. Wish I'd bought more :D

  • Thanks. Got one. 6 left at Camperdown, Sydney as of 10am. 20% off all the other Weber stuff too, like the flat hot plate.

  • Just checked the website and the family variety is out of stock in Melb :/

  • I want a Family Q half hotplate and put around $120 of Weber stuff into my cart to avail myself of free delivery, Sydney Metro, but it calculated a delivery charge of $12! Thought maybe the hotplate counts as bulky, but trying it with just 6 x brushes to get over $99 still gets a delivery charge.

    Did anyone get free delivery?

    • Ended up price matching at BCF and picked up just the hotplate instead.

      • Did you do this today?

        • Yes, Monday afternoon. Price matching was painful but eventually got it.

        • @kiitos:

How did you price match when the deal was over sunday midnight?

        • @serpserpserp:

Even on the weekend the Weber items were marked as on sale until Monday. So I price matched on Monday.

  • Love my Family Q - I've never cooked a better thick cut steak in my life. Admittedly I've not used it's size as much as I intended and probably should have gone the Baby Q simply due to it's great portability.
