  • Price in title and where.

Excellent! Bought one for $139, cheers rjb!

    • +4

I am glad that my post at least helped one OZBer score a product that I though was a bargain.

    • Edit: Told the wife it was my father's day present. She's happy that she doesn't have to take the kids shopping. Everybody wins.

  • +11

Id take the $139 out of title, it's misleading

      • +1

I still have issues with my $50 voucher. Anyone else?

      • +1

You can still go get a 28 Degrees… Can't still get the voucher.

      • +3

It's targeted mate. Targeted price =/= everyone.

        • No I bought an offer to qualify with pickup at Woolies but ebay voucher hasn't shown up. From reading this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/204417 looks as though lots have same issue
This is not specific to the Bbq. I'm just asking in general if anyone has issue claiming the ebay voucher

        • +2

Hi, I'm new to the internet, what does =/= actually mean?

        • +2

@nismo: Does not equal, it's the equivalent of an equal sign with a dash through it meaning it's not the same thing

        • +1

          @Maurlock:
Thanks, I did try googling it but that was less than useful

I don't think Google likes characters
          https://www.google.com.au/search?q=%3D%2F%3D
          https://www.google.com.au/search?q=%3D%2F%3D#safe=off&q=%3D/…

          I think it should be =/≠ ?

        • +1

@nismo: Yeah, it should be ≠ but it's just easier to type =/= and honestly I'm not even sure how to type ≠ anyway besides copying it from word

        • +3

          @Maurlock:

Or just write /= or != and pretend you code

        • @Regie69: I thought I have issue too, until I RE-LOGIN to ebay then the voucher appear. But if you're qualify then the code is COLLECT50 it is the same for everyone who qualifying. I just claimed my for this BBQ.

    • +2

Agreed, its misleading. It's not available anymore. The $50 can also be applied to anything, no need to mention specifically this in the title.

  • +4

$189 is a good price for anyone after the Baby Weber, thanks OP.
Just checking - "LP" is just the regular LPG model, right? As opposed to the Natural gas version.

    • +1

I think you are right King TA, on the different websites, it does state that this model uses LP Gas opposed to Natural Gas.

      • Can you tell me how many people does this size normally cook for? Is it better to use LPG or Natural Gas?

  • +10

It's silly to think of this $50 as being free money. As Ozbargainers we should be doing the maths, we got $150 of value for $100 of spend using that deal.

    It's not $50 for free.

Therefore, assuming you're already buying stuff you wanted at the best possible price anywhere, in your first purchase you spent $66.66 for the first $100 of spend. And then in this purchase you're spending $33.33 for $50 of spend.

It's sort of like a 33% discount on both purchases, assuming that you spend $100 and $50 flat on the two purchases. Any additional spend doesn't result in additional saving.

In the case of this deal, since it's $189, the effective cost is $189-33.33 = $155.67.

Hi quackster, for me having to spend the $100.00 plus was definitely worth it, my son wanted a Lego item from Target Toy Sale
with no stock at 4 stores which was selling for $139.00, I found the same item on eBay for collection and Big W for $132.00, timing was great, not only I saved $7.00 for the item but also scored the $50.00 for this BBQ….I guess I am one of the lucky ones.

    • -4

      Semantics. $50 free for a $100 spend.

      • Easier to neg than argue with facts.

      • -1

I hate such abuse of the term free. If I have to spend $100 it is certainly not free. "At no extra charge" maybe.

  • Can anyone with experience advise how long it takes Masters to confirm when click and collect is ready for pickup?

Edit: Lol. Literally 10 seconds after posting this and I got a confirmation sms from Masters!

    • all the stores I look at not available to tuesday pickup.

    • I am still waiting. Just got tax invoice.

Love my baby webber! Cook on it at least once a week.
Got mine about a year ago for $144.50 on the eBay BBQ 50% deal.

This model is the perfect size, big enough for our family of 4 and perfect size to chuck in the back of the car when we want to bbq in a park or for camping etc. Makes wicked pizzas too.

    You can't beat them.

    • Is this with some sort of pizza mod?
Saw one for the large sized Webber somewhere.

I can't see how it'd get hot enough otherwise. Granted, I'm talking Neapolitan pizza which should bake in 90secs to 4 mins.

If you just mean normal thin crispy or thick pan pizza, ignore this.

  • eBay is still adding $29 postage even though I chose click an collect (the store has stock).

    • never mind. just clicked proceed to checkout and it removed postage.

  • Dammit just bought one last week for $215 during the 20% off eBay sale…

    • +1

      I feel your pain…..

  • Hi guys,
Review online keep mentioning small gas bottle. Is it using normal lpg tank from your petrol station? Sorry never own gas bbq before.

    • +1

Yes, they also have them at Masters and Bunnings I think… Swap and go type thingies

      • Thanks bdl

  • -4

Why dont you get this one and never have to paid for the fuel again ?
    http://www.gosunstove.com/products/gosun-sport

Global warming is here isn't it ?

OR this GOSUN GRILL which allows you to cook even when the sun is DOWN

    • Because that is not a BBQ, it is a glorified magnifying-glass-ant-killer.

    • +1

      How effective is this?

Also, that's in US dollars. With shipping that comes to $500 versus $190 for the Weber.

  • Thanks. Decided to get this as my first grill (was close to getting something else last night but the 20% discount expired on me — thankfully lol)

  • 189 isn't working for me? Even if I do click and collect

    • looks like the deal is finished

  • Oh man.. missed this cracker deal! ;(
