In my humble opinion (again), great cheese from the deli at a very nice price. Enjoy :)

Maasdam cheese (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈmaːsdɑm]) is a Swiss-style Dutch cheese. Made from cow's milk, it is aged for at least 4 weeks. It ripens faster than other Dutch cheeses. Maasdam has internal holes from the ripening process, and a smooth, yellow rind. Sometimes it is waxed like Gouda. The cheese was created to compete with the popular Swiss Emmental by being less expensive and quicker to produce.

In the process of making a cheese with the same general components as Swiss cheeses, the Dutch ended up with a cheese that is nutty and sweet, but softer than Emmental due to a higher moisture content. The style was introduced in 1984 by the Baars company as the trademarked Leerdammer cheese, though it is now made by other Dutch companies under the name Maasdammer. It is called after the village of Maasdam in the province of Zuid-Holland. (source: wiki)

      Yes it works well. If you want to fancy it up, layer some peanut butter on some slices, put cheese ontop and grill. Or use crunchy peanut butter for an extra kick. It may sound gross but seriously delicious and was my childhood in school holidays.

          Then Bargain4Days will have to get extra fancy. Jam, honey or mayo work well. Though I usually use Honey with bluecheese and Mayo with cheddar.

        Toasted peanut butter and cheese is the best! When the peanut butter gets all melt and blends with the cheese.. 🤤🤤

      Yep, layer this pepperjack tasty and some stretch curd moz (for the extra stringyness)

      On a low heat cook one side, flip and butter the other side and do that 2 more times. Lol its rich as all fk but one sanga will be enough for a meal. Usually do that with soup (half sandwich plus soup)

    Excellent cheese. The ones I picked up today had a best before of April 2019! Can stock up for a long time but doubtful it's going to make it that long before we eat it.
