  • Is cashrewards currently 5% for eBay purchases?

    • It's not. It's back down to 1%.

    Cashrewards gives another 5% off

    Umm.. no they don't.

  • Correct it is 1% now. Still makes 730.36$ - pretty good price.

  • If you don't need gsync they also have the MG279Q for $585.65

    • Anybody got any thoughts on this monitor. Don't need G Sync.

      Thanks.

Buyers have to contact manufacture of the item to arrange booking of all on-site service within the warranty period.

I very much distrust sellers that do this. As far as I'm aware they're required to service 12 months of warranty.

    • Don't matter what they say. If they aren't a private seller then they have to abide by the ACL. You get to choose who you want to deal with when returning under warranty. Take it to fair trading etc if they refuse.

"Sellers and manufacturers often offer warranties on their goods and you should find out whether a warranty is included on the item you're buying. Warranty information may be included in the listing description, item specifics section of the listing or you can ask the seller using the Ask a question link on the listing.

If the goods come with a warranty, the warranty documents should explain how you go about returning items under warranty – where you need to send them and who is responsible for the return postage cost. If this information isn't included and you need to return an item under warranty, you can contact the seller from your Purchase history.

If the seller or manufacturer doesn't offer a warranty or it has expired, this doesn't limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law relating to defective and non-complying goods.

Visit the ACCC website for more information about warranties."

      • Yeah it just makes them look dodgy as balls, and they're hoping that some people won't know that and they can avoid doing their legal responsibility lol. Annoys me some =p

    • I wouldn't worry about that. My laptop failed after 2 years of use. Warranty was only 1 year and Asus refused to repair it. After request to the Fair Trading Asus repaired the laptop and provided another year of warranty.
