@TarquinOliverNimrod: and iirc it was an Australian seller. Some people might not realise this is not the 2s.

        • @tomkun01: it was a third party seller through Catch. It clearly says 2

        • @TarquinOliverNimrod: No this is not the one on catch. The one on catch is dwi digital cameras

Not sure if this is a legit seller as eglobal central closed down a while back.

What's the difference between this and the 2s?

    • +3

      cpu & gpu upgrade
      wireless charging
      dual rear cameras

      • Oh okay thanks! This price seems okay, been a bit out of touch with phones as of late

        • +8

Camera average on this. 2s camera is top of the line

    This or poco f1?

    • +3

Seems to have fewer compromises than the F1 although its last years flagship SoC. Still plenty capable though. Non-Expandable storage makes it a bit of a buzzkill though.

      • +15

        This has NFC and B28…

    • +9

Poco has newer and better cpu/gpu, but the sd835 is still very good. The mix also has more premium build quality/materials and includes band 28 and NFC (lacking from poco f1).
      Personally I’d choose this.

    • +2

Poco has better camera, cpu and face ID.

    $6 off with coupon: WELCOME

  • Is this the latest greatest Xiaomi with a full screen?

    • +2

      no. mi mix 2s

    • +3

This was replaced by the Mix 2S, which is similar but with cpu/gpu and camera upgrades.
      Edit: beaten :-p

This or the iPhone XS Max?

    • -3

      iPhone XS Max

    • +13

…you can buy 4 of these for less than an XS Max.

Camera on this is pretty ordinary. I purchased it about 3 months ago, had it for 1 month then sold it. It seemed like a huge downgrade from the Huawei P9 I had previously

    • +2

Camera on Xiaomi Phones are all meh in my opinion.

    • yah, camera is pretty meh, I didn't think the 'selfie camera' would be as bad as it is in terms of position and taking photos, only good when used upside down haha, pretty meh

  • Bugger. Just bought a A2 this morning.

  • If the selfie camera wasn't down the bottom I would seriously consider this phone

    • You can just invert the phone and it's up the top.

  • +8

Its a special kind of hell waiting for a mid range priced deal on a phone with NFC, 3.5mm jack, 90%+ screen and expandable memory.

    • +2

      budget? there's lg v30+ for 550

    • +2

I hear you bro. In the same boat myself. The only options are lg v30+, moto g6 plus or wait for the s8's to go down in price

      • +2

        s8 $511
        s8+ $545

      • +2

        S8+ seems nice.
I have the base S8 and my only complaint is the battery life. The S8+ has extra 500mah with pretty much identical specs so I think it's a good buy.
        Just my two cents.

NOKIA 7 Plus has ANDROID one
      & bigger 3680 battery

      • Yes, I'm waiting for a deal with local sellers (JB/HM).. Not seeing one for NOKIA 7 Plus especially … Long wait for me !!

  • Bad camera…sold after few weeks

    • what did you get instead?

  • Global ROM? Does it need flashing?

    • I'd like to know this too

  • are both SIM slots 4G/4G?

  • +5

Mix 3 just around the corner. It wont be cheap on release of course, might push the price of this phone down though.

  • +5

I really like this phone, very good specs for price. Huge amount of RAM and the screen and aesthetic is gorgeous. Camera is average, not terrible but just average. Also comes with a screen protector and a very nice slim profile case which is nice enough that you don't have to go and buy a third party case.

  • pretty good phone. Only thing missing is expandable storage. If the internal storage was 128GB, I think I could live with that. 64GB, probably not.

  • +2

At least it doesnt have a notch and has NFC and B28

But no Storage or headphone jack…. cant win can we…

  • +3

I have this device. Running RR 6.0 (based on 8.1). Fantastic and totally worth the money. I pad $635 for the 128GB model in November so this is a great deal considering its half the price.

    Only issues:
    -no headphone jack
-pain in the bum placement of camera and ESPECIALLY the ambient light sensor which is right at the centre on the bottom of the phone and I tend to place my hand over by accident all the time which drastically drops the brightness.

Other than that absolutely no issues so far.

Edit: it's also dual Sim I think and has 40 something network bands so you can go pretty much anywhere in the world and maximise your usage of the available mobile networks.

    Sam.

Good luck receiving anything from these guys. Lots of bad reviews about them if you look.
