Microsoft Australia currently have 10% off the Razer Core X eGPU with free shipping.

Compatible with MAC and PC - MAC's will require a AMD GPU due to Apple not providing nVidia GPU Drivers.
Your laptop must have a Thunderbolt 3 USB Type C port to be compatible with this.

For the best performance its recommended that your laptop has 4 PCIe Lanes over the USB Type C Thunderbolt 3 connection. The latest Dell XPS 13, XPS 15 and Macbook Pro's all offer this.

  • core x is more a pre mature version, core v2 is the finalized version, they are just too much overpriced for an empty box

    • Core X was released in May 2018.
      Core V2 was October 2017.

The Core X doesnt have a USB Hub or Ethernet port on it, while the V2 does.
However in most cases having USB and Ethernet sharing the bandwidth of the Thunderbolt 3 connection along with graphics is not going lead to good performance. You are better off plugging that directly into the laptop/ using WiFi.

My personal opinion is that the Core X is much better value. You are basically paying $200 for a USB Hub that reduces bandwidth, thus performance. Not worth it.

      • hi,

i never have an egpu, what's a usb hub or ethernet port doing in a egpu? i thought a power cable and a thunderbolt connection are enough?
