Sapphire Radeon RX 580 4GB PULSE OC $269 (Pick-up) @ MSY

230

Most NSW stores are showing low stock, but other states still seem to have a "green" level of stock.

It'll be cheaper if you buy through their eBay store front after using "PAYGRADE", $242.10 + $5 delivery, but <10 quantity so does not meet post requirement. (And even cheaper if you pay with discounted eBay gift cards.) "PAYGRADE" is now expired.
Use "PENNY5" or "PLUG5" to get $260.55 delivered from its eBay store (<10 quantity); product link: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/132754470457
Even cheaper if you pay with discounted eBay gift cards. Sold out on eBay store; see below.

And if MSY eBay has ran out of stock, you may try buying it from other eBay sellers, and then use eBay's Best Price Guarantee to refund you the difference beating MSY's own price with 5% off? More of a hassle, but I guess good for NSW buyers.

Good luck.

And don't forget AMD's Raise The Game offer that comes with the card, as long as you purchase before 3 Nov, and activate before 25 Dec. (Thanks to xuqi for the reminder.)

(and did OzBargain changed their posting/editing field? It is behaving a bit..unusual to me…) (realised it is probably my browser…hmm)

It is the "11265-09-20G" model, very good price for a RX580, despite 4GB.

Good price, also don't forget the free games offer:

I received FarCry 5 (prompt, painless experience) after buying the Asus variant in the last MSY sale:

    • Thanks, I'll put the reminder up =)

  • Worth a small upgrade from a GTX 970 while waiting for Navi in 2019?

Not much difference at all - I wouldn't bother.

Hmm, it'll depend on if you are happy and how happy with your current gaming experience.

Just running on top of my head, GTX 1060 6GB/RX580 have roughly the performance equivalent or better than a GTX980, so I don't see it as too big a jump from GTX 970, but depending on where your frame rates are, even 10% jump at 55fps will bring you to 60fps. So if your framerates are like at the borderline then perhaps.

Personally I'd suspect it'll be another ~7-9 months before Navi has good availability (read: no as much shiny new item surcharge), the RX580 is at a good price and AMD cards (due to them sharing the similar GCN architecture) do tend to age better than nVidia cards. You'll probably be able to resell it at ~$150-170 mark next year.

      For upgrade:
      - If you are at borderline frame rates before the 60fps mark for your games
      - You'll still be able to recuperate some cost after reselling it next year when Navi comes out (and if it is good)
      - If you have/want to upgrade to a FreeSync monitor before Navi comes out

      Against:
      - Not too much of a performance difference
      - If you are still okay with your current gaming experience, that the above isn't worth the hassle

ONLY if you use a FreeSync monitor. Then can be a hugely better experience.

  • Great price for a great GPU, is VR capable and will smash 1080p gaming.

Recently just got a RX 570 4GB Asus Strix for $190 on eBay and am pretty happy, this is a better version of it for only $70~ more that will crush 1080p for the foreseeable future. Backplate is also very nice on the Pulse.

  • Thanks OP, managed to pick one up off Ebay.
Should be a decent upgrade from a 270x.

  • thanks OP, finally got a Graphics Card for 1080p gaming.
