    I want a sim for my parents who are coming to visit in December. It says voucher needs to be activated by 10th November and aim can be activated within 365 days. Can I get this offer, activate the voucher and then activate the sim when my parents arrive in December? Will the sim come with a number as well? Thanks for your replies in advance guys!

      How to Activate:

      (5) Visit the Kogan Activation Centre at https://accounts.koganmobile.com.au/activation and follow the prompts
      (6) Enter the unique voucher code found on your Groupon voucher after selecting the option, "I have an email with a voucher code" at the "Plans" stage of the activation

      So activate the voucher = activate the plan = activate the SIM card, which must be done by 10 November. By the time your parents are here, the credit would have expired.

          I made a query to Groupon and received this reply. "it is highly recommended that the sim card must be activated by 10.11.2018.

          Failing to do so, you will have the 365 activation leeway which has to be activated on/before 17.09.2019."

      Yes, but the voucher will then expire on the 10th of December rendering the SIM meaningless, as you will have to recharge it. Kogan SIM are free btw, so this voucher does nothing for you in this case.

Your mobile phone number will be reserved for 90 days past plan expiry. If you do not recharge within 90 days, you will not be able to keep your existing mobile phone number, and your account will be deactivated. Once your mobile number is lost Kogan Mobile is unable to retrieve it for you.

      That's indeed the price without the coupon.

      You can keep Kogan using auto recharge, but the price will revert back to normal full price. Or buy another provider card when it is on special and porting/transfer your number the new card. That’s what I do.

    Do we have to wait for the starter pack to arrive in the mail before we can activate? It's asking for the Starter Pack Phone Number and the last 4 digits of the SIM. Can't see these details on the Groupon voucher.

        How do you know he/she does not have a Kogan Mobile sim already like me and many others ( I have them in double figures lol ). The code will work with any blank unused Kogan Mobilke sim, no need to wait for snail mail :-)

        It is easy to disable auto-recharge, just don't forget like I have before. If they accept the card for payment they will also use it for auto-recharge if it has enough money on it. Otherwise no problem, you can just forget about it and nothing will happen

      No you can't, You need to activate the sim in order to activate the offer. Once you activate the offer you have 30 days to use the service.

      I believe the registration process has changed now, not providing an option, and auto recharge is enabled by default. Once activated log back in and disable it there.
