  • The item appears to be sold out at the stage when payment is finalised.

  • Geez that went fast then. These normally last at least a few days.

  • Can my friend who doesn’t have an Australian ID use her USA passport and credit card for the ID process?

    • Just use yours.

      • +1

But I don’t want to let them use my as I don’t know them well

        • -1

Just a new mobile number doesn't really matter.

          • @superforever: That doesn't solve roofyapple's problem. They are not willing to use their own ID to activate on behalf of someone else.

I have always been curious though - what are the implications of having your ID used to activate a SIM for someone else? Like let's say they get in some trouble, does it potentially come back to you as the person who "owns" the SIM if they identify a number used in crime? If they tap into voice recordings, I suppose it wouldn't matter?

        • Dont buy it for them then

    • I have used my partners passport for hers. You can still use your card to activate just make sure to remove after.

Code still working. Just bought 2.

  • where is the voucher code?? i cant seem to find it under My stuff?

  • +1

    code doesn't work anymore

    • Even at $3.9 with 32gb data, unlimited call and text already a super bargain, hope every month there'll be deals like this, and I can keep my spare number alive, very useful if you have relatives and friends coming Australia for holiday.

  • Merged from Anybody Received That $1.95 Kogan 30-Day 32GB Mobile Plan SIM Card Deal from Last Month?

    This one: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/405630

So I bought it on Sept-27 for my mate's visit from overseas and thought it will definitely arrive by then(Oct-20). That turns out a bit optimistic as by today it is still nowhere to see and the tracking information is basically useless. Last information says:

    Wednesday
    October 3rd, 2018 - 16:17 PM EST

Melbourne Tracking unavailable. Your order is on its way and will be with you shortly

Had anybody received this SIM card here?

    Thanks,
    J

    • Looks like it was shipped on October the 3rd in Melbourne by letter post. Should be here by then I reckon.

    • I rang up to follow up but they did say 10 business days and haranguing the GroupOn staff.

It ended up coming just today in the post which is just within the promised period.

      • Yep. Mine arrived today as well. My mate will be happy lol.

  • Not happy Jan - I've just tried to activate the voucher found in the PDF through the Kogan website and I get an "Invalid Voucher" message. Who would I contact to resolve this?

    • This happened to me. I was using the email from groupon that came later on with a code on it to use, invalid. So went into my groupon vouchers on website and viewed the Kogan deal voucher and that code was different and worked.

      • Sorry, yes, I did log into Groupon and tried the voucher code that was in My Groupons.

    • UPDATE: Contacted Kogan Mobile on their 1300 number and they said the voucher code was already used, which was definitely not the case. They supplied me with a new voucher code, which I'll try soon.
