Also interested, only here for the comments.
    Thanks for posting.

    • is the -ve for him not doing his research or it's a bad deal based on your knowledge? (I'm not really a tech person so I don't really know and actually asking)

  • and we buy that where exactly…..

  • Needs to be marked as a refurb

Edit: nevermind, was done while I typed this

intel 4th generation at that time….not a good deal tho

Plus postage. 30 day warranty doesn’t give much confidence.

    • +1

The coupon code removes postage cost.

Not great .. an equivalent (without ssd and graphics) was just over $300 recently per this link https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Optiplex-9020-SFF-i7-4770-Q…

You are effectively paying $450 for the 1050ti and 256 ssd.

    • +1

      ^^this

1050ti is $240 brand new and 256gb ssd is $70

  • +5

No deal, I built this one myself and it only cost me $517 but that's not with the 240gb SSD. If you include the 240gb SSD its only $70 extra

    $240 for the i7 the G1 elitedesk
    $37 for extra 8gb ram
    $240 for 1050ti

    • Hey would you be able to link me where you got those?

    • What is the power draw of the 1050? Aren't these boxes only rated at 35W through PCIe?

Coincidence - I bought the linked 800 myself last night.

      • No idea but it runs fine while I'm gaming. No issues what so ever

      • Be careful when you ask this question because internet forums are full of fanbois and trolls saying that a 350W PSU can even run an overclocked 1080.

  • Im not sure about this deal. Old CPU (im sure its more than capable though), sub-par graphics card. I would rather save a bit more money and get a more modern CPU with at least at 1070. Seems like a lot of RAM for this kind of system.

    Just my 2 cents

    • If you only paid a bit more to get a newer CPU and 1070, that would be great…..but a PC with those specs would be almost double the price.

An older i5 or i7 and a 1050ti makes a very capable 1080p gamer for cheap…..but this deal isn't great, you're paying an extra $100 at least for somebody to fit the GPU and SSD.

These are cheaper to buy yourself ($249) on other deals and add the card… Worse case you're still sub $500… Neg coz far from cheapest.

    • Link for the i7 plz?

Closer to $300 (not $249), but still stands..

        • Yeh thought so, really hard to find an i7 under $250

I got lucky when I got mine

          • +1

@Homr: Would personally consider the i5s almost comparable though, isn't too much difference with a 1050TI.

            • -4

@[Deactivated]: i7's are heaps better than i5's bro

              • +1

                @Homr:

                • i7's are heaps better than i5's bro

An i7 makes sense only if you're doing video editing whereas an i5 can do the job while being cheaper so you'll be wasting your money if you don't do video editing.

                  @dealhunt: I thought 8 threads makes a huge difference

                  • -1

@Homr: You can have 20-30 threads but you have to find the hardware that support it.

                  • +1

@Homr: Not in most games, it doesn't. Single core clock speed is far more important, which is why an i5 is only marginally slower.

                    • @klaw81:

                      • Single core clock speed is far more important

Intel even sold this point when marketing its processors against AMD but people here keep negging without knowing why they do it……

              • -1

@Homr: It's about a 7.5% boost to single threaded, 20% to multi. For this kind of use (budget gaming) the difference isn't really that great.

Both are 4 core CPUs, just i7 slightly higher clock… The newer series i7s actually are a fair bit better

  • Nitpicker mode: there is no such thing as an Elitedesk 400, it's a Prodesk 400

    • Probably a typo from them, image correctly shows Prodesk on it lol

  • It's no brainer to connect a 1050ti into a 180W~220W 2nd hand PSU, when playing game it will just crashed or PSU died very soon.

    • that actually happened to me. My 240w psu died and i had to buy a new case, motherboard and psu and considering i had to buy a good one i bought a Corsair HX650 for $70

  • +1

    This is cheaper., i7 4770 16G 500G = $322 with PLUG5 code

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dell-Optiplex-9020-SFF-i7-4770-Q…

    • Dang. That would make for a pretty sweet server at a decent price. Or obviously a decent little gaming machine with a 1050 ti.

    • thanks! could you recommend a ssd to get with it?

      • There has been countless desks posted lately. Pick any on budget. Performance is negligible.

  • +1

    ha. My current PC is a 4770, 1070, 32GB RAM, 500GB SSD + platters
Surely my machine isn't worth this much! If it is, time to sell it.

  • +2

Im paying this much for a HP and I don't even get the crappy mouse and keyboard? How dare they! (Btw not really good value, this website is called OzBargain for a reason)

    • You can have a much better value computer on Gumtree and Facebook Market.

      • +1

and sometimes cash converters (but some stores smell like actual shit)

  • Think the ram upgrade isn't as necessary in this lower range but given its cheap ddr3…

  • +2

    750$ ?
    tell him he's dreaming

    no bargain here obviously

  • +2

    Poor value.

  • +1

Oh the memories… https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/125071 My machine is still kicking with 480 gb SSD added and a gtx 970….. been an amazing purchase :)
