      Etihad's hub is Abu Dhabi (not Dubai) so you'll actually fly there 1st and then fly back to India. Dubai is only 1hr out of Abu Dhabi though so maybe you could arrange a stopover?

      Not the quickest way to get there but still a great price, especially for VA status credits

    Very much, free Etihad shuttle from AUH to drop off & pick up from Dubai to AUH. Shuttle needs to be booked from manage bookings.

    Yes, did that trip back in Dec 2016. Watched the flight map as it flew over BLR.
    I thought to myself "why not just parachute out of here and save the extra hours" :)
