  • So you'd be getting $205 e gift card for the price of $190?

It means this is a saving of 7.5%!

    • Hi Gorodemon, you need to spend $200 real money, so that means you'll need to buy $210.53 worth of gift cards in a single transaction.

      • Accounts that engage in fraudulent orders/activities will be banned and ineligible for the bonus offer.

Should we order $210.54 worth to be safe?

        • Hi muncan,

Totally up to you, but $210.53 should already do.

      • +5

        So a saving of 7.2%!

      • Where do you subscribe to newsletters?

        • Hi hibbo,

If you're new to ShopBack you should already be subscribed upon sign up. If you unsubscribed however, please see here.

          • @gotyourback: so what you are saying is that you are auto-subscribing to newsletter when you sign up? Is this by default or just recently?

    • spend $200 or more (after the 5% discount)
So get $215+ worth of cards for $200 min spend.
Only 1 bonus $5 card per account!

  • +1

    Hang on….that's confusing.

Spend $200 after 5% discount means I'd have to buy more than $210.53 worth of e-gift cards to spend more than $200.

That's going to catch a lot of people out.

    • Have updated the title, hope it's clearer!

      • Thank you. Done. I bought a nice round number $211 worth of gift cards. It therefore came to $200.45 which exceeds $200.

        • But you got less discount in percentage terms.

      • +1

        Oh.. Damn =(

Wish that was clearer at the time of posting, I bought earlier this morning as soon as it was listed but only at the $200 level..

        • +7

          Hi Stoibs,

Could you send us a private message with the email address linked to your ShopBack account? Happy to note you down to receive the bonus in this case.

  • +1

yeah opal top up here i come

    • Wait till the Shop Small Amex deal :)

      • +1

you mean wait for people posting they got rejected by using amex to top up, or they got slugged with high surcharge? (by the store owner not by scanner/register)

      • It's Visa or MasterCard only for e-gift cards, unfortunately.

        • What are you referring to?

eGift Cards can be paid with Visa, Mastercard or AMEX.
Shop Small promotion is specific to AMEX.

    • +1

We can use wish gift cards to topup opal at woolies?

      • +1

        what?? really?

        • +1

Yes - if your store does top ups, you can pay with gift card.

      • +1

Yes, best way to use them, make sure you get the wish e-gift card.

To say of what is that it is not, or of what is not that it is, is false, while to say of what is that it is, and of what is not that it is not, is true.

    • +3

I was wondering who took my rum…

    • -1

      Who is negging this???

Loved reading it as it is, without it being what it is not.

    • What?

      • -1

You can't buy gift with it

        • +14

That's not "most things" though. I live off of food. So gift cards still give me savings. Not to mention I also live off of alcohol, fuel for my car and Big W

        • yes you can. Find a place still using one of the older checkouts

  • So the extra $5 a seperate gift card? Not a huge issue as you can collect them all on the Woolworths app but it would be a pain using a $5 gift card at checkout then paying for the rest with another one

    • +1

      Hi cruizerdog,

Yes this $5 gift card is separate.

    • +1

Split payment - but need to enter 2 card numbers & 2 pins (for that 1 time)

      • And don’t forget it can be another 2 weeks before you get the $5 gift card.

  • +24

Should just give a 6% discount to beat Cashrewards.

    • Given that the cashback offer looks like it's administered directly by Woolworths, I would imagine that's more difficult to arrange.

  • If it was unlimited gift card per account, I'd stock up big time, hint hint

  • +8

    $210.53. That's just silly. Make it $200.

  • these are good for fuel, but I keep buying expensive vegs at woolsworth ex. $3 herbs which I can find for $1 else where. Which is where they get you.

    • +2

Which is where they get you

Which is where they get you

  • mobile app doesn't allow me to purchase, any one meet the same situation?

    • +1

the website doesn't let me purchase as well. won't let me get past the customer details page

      • Hi bargainhunter8888,

Could you elaborate further on the issue? We found that when we entered a suburb for billing we had to select one of the suggestions that came up containing the state and postcode too.

        • +1

Thanks, that did the trick. Guess the site doesn't like autofill

      • I have no problem getting $250. Good for my 150L petrol run.

        • Do you fill up multiple vehicles?

          • +1

@neil aus: I go alone, I fill up my car and 6 Jerry Cans. Then pour two cans into my other car after I am home.

I only have a petrol run once every 3 weeks for 2 cars.

    • Hi applehuaus,

You'll need to purchase through ShopBack's desktop/mobile site.

      • I bought $211 but it doesn't say $5 bouns $5 any where.

        • It's on our banners and also here

We will email out the gift card to you by 15th October.

  • Does Caltex take it? I tried giving it my local one and he said dont take egift cards

  • +1

Got mine. Recently I had multiple issues with cashback from Groupon. Hopefully it is more reliable with Woolworths and I will get my $5 bonus.

  • Can you buy a third party gift card in store and pay with a egiftcard?

    • +1

      Hi Gearup,

      No longer possible.

      • Maybe he can or he works out a way to do so,as a staff member(according his posts).

  • You must be subscribed to ShopBack's newsletters in order to receive the $5 Bonus eGift card.

How do I check and change my subscription status? I cannot find it on the website.

    • Hi alvian,

If you reach out to [email protected] our customer service team should be able to check and update it for you.

      • +7

I don't think auto-subscribing and not having a setting page to check is even legal. I suggest you should have this urgently changed before getting into trouble with the law.

        • -4

          Hi samehada,

Please see point 14 in our terms of use which mentions this upon signing up to ShopBack.

To unsubscribe there is an option at the bottom of all promotional emails to do so, otherwise you can also do so here.

          • +5

@gotyourback: buried it in fine print is not a proper excuse. Just simply put the option for ppl to clearly see and check is the right way to do.

  • Website is non responsive, when i clicked on buy now, nothing happens. Spent the last 20mins, managed to go to payment but there was an error saying website cant be reached so i guess the payment didnt go through. Not worth the time for $5 extra

  • Is this work with Shopback App ? Do we need to purchase from mobile or desktop website ?

    • +1

Hi talktoronak, this only works through the mobile/desktop site.

  • Just bought my wish gift card.
Hope the $5 bonus card will come.

  • Can you pay with credit cards? Amex? Any fees?

    • +1

      Hi gadgetguy,

Yes, Amex cards are fine. No fees.

  • How do we know that 2000 people havent already claimed the $5 bonus?

Have to wait for 2 weeks for the $5 bonus.

    • (585 clicks)

I would guess it is still active at this moment. Later on, not so sure.

    • Hi 8azinga, we only get sales reports after 2 days so we're going to make this judgement based on clicks/page traffic. Will expire the deal if we suspect this limit has been reached.

  • I love how an extra $2.5 will make this so hot. Nonetheless for those who don't buy these vouchers but shop at Woolworths get on board. Save the gift cards to an app like Google Pay and you'll never use your credit card again in Woolworths.

    • +1

I save it to the Woolworths app. Woolworths have honestly done a good job with their app, wish Coles would do the same

      • Agreed. Woolies app updates in real-time as well, and linking e-gift card is just a click or two.

        • +1

Yep. Never have to wonder how much money is left on the card and you can visually see the app refresh with your new balance the moment the transaction is completed. Also easiest way to swipe Woolworths reward card since they have put in those scanners on the side of the checkout as you've already got the app open

        • I just downloaded the app but can't see how you can link or save e-gift cards. Help :)

      • App is good but I wish there was a way to combine multiple small-value (or small-dollar-value-remaining) gift cards together.

I burned all my $5 gift cards from AIA Vitality on the weekend and it was physically painful. Plus I got a 2m long receipt.

        • Yeah, I made a comment above about how the extra seperate $5 gift card would be a slight inconvenience for me to claim and got a few downvotes. It’s a shame you can’t top up/combine already existing gift cards

  • I'm getting this error on Woolworths GC website when I tried to pay: "We couldn't process your Request
We're sorry but we were unable to process your card payment. Please check your card details including the expiry date if you are using one of the saved cards from your EverydayGiftcards account or try another card or alternative payment method. If there is still an issue, please contact us"
Tried 5 different cards and same issue. Anyone experiencing the same?

  • I would buy it, but every time I try to add it to the cart it comes up with the error: "The Item added to cart is not available for purchase"

    • Update: Never mind, cleared cookies and worked fine.

  • Thanks OP I have just ordered a $211 gift card. hopefully not too late for $5 bonus card

  • Can I pay with amex edge and still get 3 points?

    • Yes

  • Thanks. $211 gift card ordered.

  • I don't know if it is my browser but ordering was glitchy as - clicks not registering, fields not updating, had to reload the page manually multiple times. Got through somehow, but if I don't get my $5, I will be back to Cashrewards for egift and all the rest.

    • Yeah mine wasn't loading pages properly, had to manualling refresh a few times. It was a bit hit and miss there for a while, thinking I may have purchased multiple gift cards but it worked in the end.

  • Hopefully not too late for the bonus… nothing came up to indicate there was a bonus so will be interested to find out what happens.

  • +3

I’m not sure why it would be the case but every time I order these through cash rewards I get the voucher within 2 hours yet it’s been 8 hours and counting.

  • +3

I prefer Prezzee offers where the bonus card is sent instantly.. you don't have to wait for 15 days to get the bonus card.
