Great price if wanting to make a start on Alexa and Home Automation as this model has the built in Zigbee Hub. Assuming Amazon are starting to clear the previous gen stock but still a decent unit and decent price for it.

  JB Hi-Fi has the 2nd gen with bonus philips lightbulb for $129, any reason to prefer the 1st gen?

    If you can get at that price sure that's a great deal, but I just checked JB and says the Gen 2 Echo Plus is $229.

    Only thing I'd say with the bulbs is you probably don't want the straight "on/off" only, better to get the ambience bulbs where you can at least change like daylight, warm white etc. for mood.

      Apologies, it’s the Gen 1 for $129 with bonus Hue bulb by the looks of it. I don’t know much about these and was misled by the description on JB website.

  Jb hifi has the first gen on sale for $129 which includes a Phillip Hue bulb if you can pickup.
