20% off 200g Bags and Free Shipping over $50 @ Swagman's Jerky

30

200g bags of beef jerky for $20 from Swagman's and free shipping over $50.

I think this is a better deal than the Geronimo Jerky deal I posted yesterday: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/406747 Once you factor in free shipping, communication issues, delays, etc.

  • Time to do the taste test. Can it top Silvers or Riverina?

  • I like swagmans theyre quite good. Havent tried silvers or riverina what are they like?

Silvers seem to be just right and are very popular. Not too dry and not too moist with really strong flavours. Their Chorizo is to die for. Small operation and they've sent me text messages notifying of delays or asking if I want to switch out for other flavours.

Riverina have pork jerky that is simply amazing. They also have Carolina Reaper jerky that's seriously made me cry. I'd recommend their sample pack.

      • I second that Silver's is great quality. Pity about no bulk bags though.

  • I like the extra chili. It's quite nice and not too hot.

  • at $100 kg for dried secondary cuts, I'd rather but eye fillet steak at aldi this week for $25 kg and eat fresh …..

FYI - To make 1kg of dry jerky requires 3kg of raw meat.

Hi mate. Appreciate your right to comment though please do some research prior to making incorrect statements. Also Bob81 is quite right a kilo of jerky starts life as 3kg of "premium" beef. all up a 24hour process to make.
If you do end up getting your eye fillet. Just add salt and pepper and don't over cook!

    • How is it? Any free samples? :P

      • well, i've to do a few test run first… XD

        • I'm interested in starting my own DIY jerky soon. Maybe we should create a mega thread where we can offer each other tips.

  • I'll try this, ordered one of each of the 3 200g flavour, slightly cheaper than a 500g bag of Geronimo delivered by my calculations.

Will report back with comments unless it slips my increasingly feeble mind.

Thanks Ozbjunkie, Please do let us know what you think. This sale was hugely popular for us last week thanks to Bob81 for posting the sale.

If you do give making your own jerky a crack let me know and I'll shoot you some pointers.

      Cheers,
      Swagmans

    • Arrived quickly, tasty, decent texture, not overly dry.

Beats Silver's for price, but not texture. Equal or better than Geronimo depending if you like Geronimo's soy sauce heavy style.

      Would definitely buy again.

Got the original, smokey, and mild chili. Would recommend any one of them. Buy with confidence.
