[PC] Shadow Warrior 2: Free $0 @ GOG

3220

This is part of Gog's 10 year anniversary. SW2 is $40 US on Steam, and was on my Steam wishlist (the only disadvantage is that you miss out on Steam achievements in the Gog version). One of the best gaming freebies ever. Just click on "Get For Free" where the price normally is.

    Thanks. Worked :)
For some reason showed up in Russian page though but I clicked the big button like the movies taught me to.

Thanks, one of the greatest games of all time.

    I voted for Firewatch dammit

They put a 'consolation' discount deal up for the two that didn't win, Firewatch is 75% on gog at the moment.

      • Cheers

    • If you can't fight them… join them.

      No you don't.

      Sounds like would like GOG.

The optional GoG client is a relatively new feature, I'm surprised to see people here complaining about it or implying that it's mandatory.

        • +5

          It's because people are idiots.

@AFAR85: I agree. Unfortunately there are many, sometimes too many, of them around now and the scary thing is they are everywhere - not just on the internet in general but in real life, too. :-(

    • I think GoG is DRM free. But I do agree that Uplay, Origin, b.net and all that stuff is excessive.

Load of crap. Especially since this post has more upvotes than my original!

Lol, OzB is a cruel mistress. The site doesn't track cumulative upvotes does it?

        Lmao boo-fricken-hoo star whore QQ

  • stupid question but is this DRM free or can it be added via steam?

    • +1

      No DRM.

    • No DRM, but you can launch it from Steam.

Now and again, they do Steam link or whatever, and certain games can be added to your Steam library for free.

But DRM-free is the way to go, especially when don't have an Internet connection.

      • Yes technically anything can be added to steam as a shortcut and run as per normal. You just wont get the specific achievements.

      • +3

It is the other way around. GOG Connect adds games you own on Steam to your GOG library.
Steam has never added games you own on GOG but not on Steam to your Steam library.

        • Ah. Sorry. Thanks for clarifying. Never actually done it myself.

  • expecting this to be in the next humble monthly too.

great game, we call it FPS diablo 2.

    You are tiny grasshopper.

  • Was hoping for Superhot. I guess people picked SW2 because it had the highest retail price.

    • last i checked you can buy superhot keys for like a dollar
SW2 was the only one that hadnt been on deep discount before so more people are less likely to have played it

    Achievements are overrated anyway

    • I don't really care for the achievements but one thing I do like is being able to press shift+tab to message friends and even call them if need be. Steam client is a life-saver in that regard for people with single monitors.

      • +1

Not really an issue for those of us without friends

        Sobs

      • The Steam overlay can work on non-Steam games that have been manually added to your Steam client.

        • I know it can but some games don't work with it. For example if you launch overwatch through steam and not the blizzard launcher it makes you type your login every time you want to play. And BF1 for example just didn't work for me. It launched fine but the overlay just didn't show up.

  • Excellent thank you so much. Downloaded and playing.

  • So if this is DRM free, can I install it on two computers and play online co-op?

    • Probably yes.

  • Showing as $33.79 for me

Yep,I just tried it too and got the same, looks like it must have expired :(
