Officially Licenced Men's & Women's NASA T-Shirts $16.54 (Was $33.46) Delivered @ Sowia / IWoot (Hut Group)

980
NASA

SOWIA / Iwoot (or Sowas Will Ich Auch), part of The Hut Group (e.g. Zavvi, MyProtein etc.) are offering officially licenced NASA t-shirts from $16.54 Delivered for Adults (men & women). Screenshot. The item will be delivered within 7 working days.

I went to Germany recently and signed up to the MyDealz (HotUKDeals DE site) newsletter. Fortunately with Gmail autotranslate, I've been able to see some decent deals come through. Offiziell lizenzierte NASA T-Shirts (verschiedene Motive, Herren, Damen, Kinder, S bis XXL). Funny enough they are doing the same tricks with using overseas eBay sites as us.

Buying

You'll need to use your browser's autotranslate function or put it in Google however the site is setup that it's easily navigatable without knowing German. Make sure you put the code NASA in.

On the checkout page, Skincarestore Australia PTY is listed with an address in St Leonards, NSW. This is their Australian arm so you will be charged in Australian dollars. It's 1% extra for Paypal. GST is included.

Note from Mydealz user:

Shipping costs are only deducted if an item is ordered with the coupon code NASA. (For multiple items this action 2 will be activated for 29 € and the system will not accept another coupon). So I ordered several times in succession.

So looks like ordering one at a time might work out cheaper.

Price Comparison

  • Sowia's sister site Zavvi have some of them from for $17.99 + $5.99 Shipping. $23.99 Total
  • ASOS has similar for $36
  • Amazon has some via Amazon US for $25.26 + $11.26 Delivery. Free delivery with Prime

Of course, you can get unlicenced t-shirts of various quality on eBay or Aliexpress but you'll be paying close to the same price as this one.

If you are going overseas, have a look at this list of bargain sites.

With that price I don't think sales will sky-rocket anytime soon.

Just follow the yellow brick road…

  • Are the kids shirts same price too?

    • +1

The code doesn't work for the kids shirts. They did initially when MyDealz posted it so maybe they'll include the kids shirts later again in the future.

      • Ok thanks. Bought one for myself. Will hopefully have kids ones soon

  • Thanks OP. Great Post

    $10 at my local Kmart.

Can also get: Motorhead, The Beatles, Atari, …And Justice for All, The Boss, Pink Floyd, The Who, Lynard Skynard, etc.

Licensed shirts are a dime a dozen. If these go to support NASA I might encourage buying them from this mob. God knows modern America coulnd't give a (profanity) about one of its premier scientific agencies.

Presumably if they're officially licensed then NASA has been paid a licensing fee.

God knows modern America coulnd't give a (profanity) about one of its premier scientific agencies.

Nah, they just don't want any climate data or funding for the ISS. What they want now is to MAGA by doing something that they already did in 1969.

      • Pretty sure there isn't a licensing fee involved. It's in the public domain for Americans, as theoretically the people (the US pop) have already paid NASA with taxes.

For better or worse, it's not the same as Aus where we pay the gov depts with tax dollars then pay them again to use the service.

      • They are not licensed because NASA does not license anything. NASA simply approves merchandisers who agree to strict terms such as not to cobrand. There is no fee.

  • What is the deal with these? Why is this a fad now?

I bought a similar NASA shirt from H&M for $15. Has a small pocket logo on the front and large central logo on the back.

    https://m.hm.com/au/product/07186?article=07186-G

They also have it white and some hoodies with the word NASA across it.

  • If people get across to Florida, e.g if you are going to Disney World, then go across to Kennedy Space Centre for, at least, a day. There are a lot of exhibits, like the rocket park, the mockup of the moon landings and the control centres, the Saturn V rocket, etc that are well worth seeing. You can also buy NASA t-shirts directly from NASA and there is a reasonable range. My man got to see inside the Vehicle Assembly Building when he was there last there and I was insanely jealous. He got a nmber of t-shirts including a great "Failure is not an Option" - Apollo 13 t-shirt.

Went to the NASA Houston Space Centre a few years ago. Very cool place. Got to see the Saturn 5 rockets up close (huge!) as well watching staff work on one the Mars pods/explorers.

Well worth going to Houston for that, the Rodeo and awesome BBQ.

I was nearly 8 years old when the moon landing occured. I remember a blurry black and white TV image and eating fruit tingles and crackers with cheese.

For the mockup of the control centre they played the last few minutes before lift off and the first couple of minutes afterwards and showed all the displays on the controls as they would've occured on the day, they had an image of the rocket projected on the screen in the room. I had tears in my eyes listening to it; man I'm a girl geek from a long way back.

  • Will I be able to join the space force if I wear one.

    • I was thinking the same thing. I'd like to go off to explore the universe, unless I find myself on that horrible planet of the apes. Wait a minute. Statue of Liberty. That was OUR planet! You maniacs! You blew it up! Damn you, damn you all to hell!

  • Thanks you NASA, thank you NASA!

You can get the blue NASA logo on the white background from Kmart for $10. Comfy shirts. Men’s section. Search “printed tee” on Kmart website and browse the graphics.

    • Had a look but I couldn't find it. Might have a look in store.

They have a site in English too:

    https://www.iwantoneofthose.com/clothing/nasa.list

Price will still be $16.54 when you select AUD as your currency and use the NASA code.

      • :-( You're right. Sorry for the noise.

  • i know these probably aren’t officially licensed ones? but at kmart they have the white nasa shirt in the men’s section for $10. Looks the exact same to me

    • +1

NASA does not license any apparel.

    • Read above ^^^

Which restricted sector did nasa shot moon landing? I couldn't find on Google

  • I would hate to be caught out in unofficial NASA apparal. My street cred would plummet.

  • Confused which size I should be selecting as I have the numbers different across NASA and say a retailer like H&M/Uniqlo. I am a M most of the times. Can anyone please advise if I should go M or L?

  • +2

This is deceptive. NASA does not license merchandise. https://www.nasa.gov/audience/formedia/features/Merchandisin…

A general overview of NASA policy follows: … There is no licensing or exclusivity agreement with NASA.

    • PS I notice that the merchandisers aren't listing these products as officially licenced, it's the deal websites getting it wrong.
