I am not an audiophile but I own Bose QC 25, Sennheiser HD8, Sony 1000, Sony 1000XM2 and now just bought sony 1000 XM3. I will highly recommend sony 1000XM3.
Sound quality, functionality and battery life is amazing as compared to Bose. Yes, Bose might be little more comfortable over the ears but Sony is smashing them in all other departments.
and if going overseas, getting TRS/gst back from full price ohhhhhhh delicious
Are they a comfortable as the QC35? I have the WH-1000XM2 and it's far less comfortable than the QC35. Sony is meant to have improved comfort in the XM3, I'm wondering if it's as comfy or more comfy than the QC35.
according to reviews, the only thing or few things the qc35 has over the new sonys is comfort
I just came from JB and compared Bose and both xm series and the 3 is much more comfortable than series 2. Bose may still slightly win out on comfortability, but personally not enough to deter me and my fat head.
I have owned both the XM2 and XM3 and the XM3 is significantly more comfortable than than the XM2. This is one of the key reasons that I upgraded.
I find that I can wear the XM3 a lot longer than then XM2 without it getting too warm. It is now at the stage that I forget that the XM3 is on and can concentrate on the music instead. The Bose still has slightly less clamping force than the XM3 but to me the XM3 is very similar to the Bose in comfort.
That’s exactly how I felt with my short try of both headphones. I didn’t get extended use of them, but I was hoping they would be exactly as you described so I’m glad they are because I bought a set from this deal :).
For anyone that has had experience with the BOSE and these, are these bigger than the BOSE? I have a small head at the BOSE look ridiculous on me.
I also have a small head. These are bigger and chunkier than the Bose which already look big on me.
I too have a small head with an oval 'neutral' face shape. I own these cans and they do look big on me.
At times like these is where I prefer the Bose with their 'teardrop' shape
