  • is this a worthwhile gaming display? Are IPS monitors good?

    • For casual gaming it should be pretty good. It does have a 5ms, response time but IPS have far better colors and blacks in contrast to TN panels. It's a pretty good deal, on LG's website it has a 4.3 overall review score.

    • For gaming, higher refresh rate is prefered (144hz), gamed on this, its not bad, but it is a very tiny screen not to mention very short vetical height, you may also want to check if your games support the ultrawide resolution, cinematic black side bars are not fun on ultrawide, specifically 25 inches

        3440x1440 34" life <3

    • Probably a bit on the small side. I have a 29" version of this screen and its a great general purpose display. Any smaller would make it pointless though.

    • Its better then my Asus 1440P TN monitor … $800 cheaper , I have both

Still use the Tn for 3D though

  • Depending on Delivery this is a very good deal.

I have the 29 Inch version and honestly the colors were amazing compared to my 4 year old Gaming screen. Would recommend for a cheap but still nice looking monitor

Delivery seems to be less than $20 for metro (except WA), so use shipster for free delivery!

Don't see the refresh rate anywhere.

Dont bother with these, very tiny, unless you have a need for the ultrawide 25 inch is very tiny for ultrawide, minimum 29 inch i would say (34 inch user)

same here, ASUS 35" ROG user here and the 1440p vertical resolution is great for productivity.

$145 is a good price, but this monitor is not much of an upgrade over a regular 24" non widescreen.

  • I think its 75Hz according to the CNET website. Bought it to go with the new computer from BingLee
    Thanks OP

    • You may have to oc, as there was not standard option in the refresh panel, i oced mime to 69, 70 wasnt stable and kept stutering

  • bought is few months back, only downside is the only ports it has is 2 HDMI (no USB or no HJ)

Damn was going to purchase this for a side screen for watch videos while playing grindy games on main screen

  • +1

    Well… i was too slow. :(((

  • grabbed one, thanks OP!

  • Just missed out. Would be good for my Xbox.

    • Why? Consoles doesnt support ultrawide resolution, so you have a even smaller screen and black "cinematic" bars

      • Thank you. I didn't know that. ;-)

        • Yeah no worries, ultrawide resolution ratio is 21:9, standard is 16:9

  • Dam. How do I get notified when something that interest me comes up? I'm always checking OzBargain almost religiously but somehow everytime I see something that I really want to buy I'm always too late. What is the trick guys? Thanks.

  • I bought one but have changed my mind. I live in Melbourne if anyone is interested contact me. the box is still sealed

    • I have pm’d you.
