Semi-firm, pale yellow Dutch cheese with big eyes. Made from cow's milk and aged for 5 weeks. High fat content at 45%, giving it a beautiful creamy texture with a sweet, buttery, nutty taste with a fruity background. Pairs well with Chardonnay, Merlot, and Sauvignon Blanc.

    Swiss maasdam is called emmental. Or rather maasdam is Dutch emmental.
