We (officeworks) had note 8's on clearance for the mid $700 range (cheaper than the s8 for some reason). If there are any left then that's a better price, but in any case we can't price match because our price is cheaper.

I sold the last one at my store a week or two ago, some others might have it but stock will be pretty limited.

    Edit: autocorrect

    • where? lol

When I'm working next I'll check for the ones in my area, you'd be able to give your local store a call and see if they've got any / where does.

        • I'm interested too, 4154 area. Thanks Ben.

@eddiecox: Could you not just call them to find out?

          • @eddiecox: The only store I can see with stock is South Melbourne (which might be a repair unit or similar).

I can't see QLD stores from my end here unfortunately, the product code is BRGXNT864B if you want to give your local store a call and see if they have stock at nearby stores.

      • Maybe around Canberra ( a wild guess lol ).

        • +1

my wild guess would be around dubbo.
          plenty there

          • @CyberMurning: Haha,…yeah, maybe.

I was being a bit sarcastic as "spoonmugen" was asking where?, and you could get some idea by simpy clicking your mouse on his name to find out where he has his OzBargain account ( if using a computer ).

    • I called my local store just now - they said it's not even in the system anymore.

      • Ah, my apologies. I can't find a way to update my original post. In that case, we won't be able to price match at all because we don't have any :/

        Sorry about the inconvenience everybody.

      • Get that,…but surely they could do a manual stock check for that particular store at least.

      • My guess is that they were using the wrong system to search, it's still in the mobile systems with a code of BRGXNT864B

        • Found that one selling for $870.40, not the $700 range.

          • @Ventak: That's really strange, it was ~$740 in the systems at my store, and prices are generally the same across all our stores. I'm really not sure what happened there.

My apologies for sending you on a false lead.

  • Note X is gonna be b1g. Foldable phones people!

    • +2

Haha, sounds good but at what ?????? cost for the first year?

I think also Optus together with Harvey Norman Were running a Note 8/ Optus rural/regional postcode deal for around $58+-/25GB per month over 2

years. Might be over now, but still worth looking into if still on and your postcode is eligible.

    • My Local Harvey Norman (Cannington) doesn't even know about deal

      • It was on over a month ago now, so probably over now, that's why I said "Were."

Also Cannington WA would not know much about it as they were never supposed to offer that deal in the first place as it's only offered

to Rural/Regional Stores and Customer Must have a qualifying Rural/Regional Postcode as billing Address.

Wait isn't the note 9 less than $100 more? This seems like an absolute waste.

    • +4

Yeah better value for note 9

    • +2

      And note 9 has 128gb

  • +6

This seems expensive for a note 8 !!

Managed to price match at Harvey Norman and used 3 AMEX card which brings down to $737

    • How do you manage to get/use 3 different Amex Cards?

      • +1

I just asked them and they were fine with it. I was planning to use 4 cards (we have 3 people) but they said they only allowed 3 cards and $300 per transaction

  • Where to get 10% off dj gift card? Entertainment book out of stock for a long time.

  • Seems Deal expired
