    Does it need to be Qantas direct? I booked with a different provider but on Qantas. I used my FF number. Gee I hope I still get the double credits, lol.

    June is the start of the rainy season. It's not too bad to travel there for that month.
    However, July and August it gets very hot, rainy, humid, and typhoons start.

    There are also very few festivals or fireworks in June, but they start up in July.
    So it's a difficult decision on which time is better.

    Was in july for the whole month this year, really humid only rained about 2 or 3 days the whole month i was there.

  is there a way to see which aircraft you will be on?

  i just went on an A330 and was not impressed. the cabin noise is unbelievably loud. i would rather a 747 or a380 (if they use them on this particular route).

    Pretty sure we were on a dream liner from Brisbane.

    However, you can search the flight code, it runs every day and flight aware can tell you the plane.

    The flights I purchased was the A330 (in May and June), changed a few dates and they were all the A330

      come to think of it, i barely saw any 747's at narita. the only ones i did see were cargo planes. i guess they are too old and uneconomical now. shame. i dont remember 747's having loud cabins and rough landings.
