    Helio p23 and Gaming Smartphone.

Yeah… Nah. I dont know about that.

    No 28 band

  • Quite a decent rugged phone that isn't too clunky. The downside is that the Helio P23 is a mid-range SoC and just below a Snapdragon 625 so it's not the best gaming phone out there. Another downside for some may be the lack of B28, but it has all other 4G bands fortunately. The addition of NFC, large battery, storage and RAM help make up for it though.

If you order and miss out on the gamepad don't stress as it's just as rebadge that can be had cheaper.

Also worth mentioning that it's advertising Full Netcomm support. This usually but not always means dual 4G/3G sim cards.

    • if its really below a 625, then a person is better off getting a xiaomi with a 625 and if it breaks, buy another. Cant see why < a 625 would need 6GB of ram either!

      • It's still a capable phone and PUBG runs smoothly on the hardware. Doogee are just trying to get more people into rugged phones. High amounts of RAM is essential for Android if you want to run several apps. I previously had a phone with 2GB and if I was trying to type up an OzBargain deal and switched tabs or changed apps to get more into, the submit deal tab would refresh as it was out of memory.

Rubbish. Has 2G and no 4G. Why would anyone use this in Australia?

    • +1

      It has 4G.

  • lol.. gaming smartphone running ARM Mali G71 MP2 which is not a gaming GPU..

    • definitely prefer one running a nvidia 1080 ti … :P

Am I the only one who imagined something like this?

  • I have the S60 version of this.

    pros
Its tough, wont break, i need that

    cons
    poor loud speaker
wireless charging does not work properly (im guessing due to heavy shielding case)
