if anyone does under $1 transactions let us know if and when you get your $100 credited into your account?

      • It worked for the ANZ $100 Wish gift card offer from a couple of years ago.

  • +1

I did not get the card yet :( I am in WA

    • Same in Sydney.

With MyState they didn't even send it until I called them…it was blocked before they even sent it…

      • Just received my card today.

  • Anyone knows why everytime I enter my account number to setup new payee (paying from other bank to this new CUA bank account), the account number has always been cleared by itself ? How we even transfer some deposit into the account ?

    • I don't know about your issue but the app is useless for me. I'm not even sure if it handles PayID, even if it's been added via the website first.

      • PayID worked for me, transfering from CBA into CUA was instant.

        • +1

Just to clarify, sending and receiving payments via PayID works fine.

I just don't see a way to add a PayID payee via the app, and from memory, I couldn't even send to PayID payees that were already added via the website despite them appearing in the app as an option.

Got my card today. Transferred in 5 cents, and made 5 $0.01 paypass purchases at coles. Now we wait.

    • +1

That's new low but you met spending criteria.

      Btw I didn't neg you.

    • You seem like a fun person to be around

      • Oh, how controversial of me!

You going to move your every day banking exclusively to cua then?

Or are you going to spend $20 so you feel more ethical?

    • What's 1cent at Coles?

      • +4

He bought something then do split payments at 1 cents a time, 5 times, then pay the rest in full with other card. The price of the item is not 5 cents, could be $20.

    • +3

chopping up grapes on the self checkouts… very naughty.

    • How did you split a payment 6 times at Coles?

Last time I was at coles, it would only allow it to be split in 2 ( e.g. say the total was $10. I put the first payment as $0.01. The next payment was forced to be $9.99. No option to split further).

I know that woolies allows as many split payments as you want.

      • +1

You probably pressed the wrong button. There is no limit.

    • +1

thought I was bad with my 5X $1 transactions at Woolies. Although I prefer my method as punching in $1 is easier than $0.01 so saved myself precious time lol.

    • +3

The $100 reward will be paid into your new Everyday Account by 14 January 2019.

      • Thank you

        • +1

Do you even bother reading the post?

  • i opened 2 accounts for both cua different promo offers they closed one account without warning just got letter in mail saying i called up and agreed to close one. now im not sure which account is opened and what to do to be eligble but made 5 pay waves just in case. anyone else experience the same

    • Yep, got the same letter.

  • My card was barely detected by the Woolworths self checkout machine (for 5 split transactions). Had to bend my card onto the screen.

    Bad machinr or card?

    • +1

      Coles machine worked fine.

    • Had no issues at a woolworths purchasing 4 x chocolate bars in a row!

    • I had no issues with 2 cards at Woolworths.

  • just realised that i have only used the cards 4 times yesterday. 4x $0.01.

    need to do another. :(

  • +1

Does anyone know if 5x Google Pay / Apple Pay uses of your Debit Card count?
Otherwise will call sometime next week and report back.

    • One would assume so. It is a transaction regardless of whether you use a physical card or digital.

    • I was wondering the same thing…

  • Did anyone take a print screen of the original offer page? I opened close to expiry and want to be safe if necessary.

  • Is there a min transaction amount for the 5 visa transactions? (eg Min spend per transaction is $2 etc??)

    • +2

      None mentioned.

  • Did anyone get the credit.

    • why the negs? It's a fair question as it says BY 14 Jan 2019. So anytime between now and then is valid.

      • Just curious, doubt it is same as amex to credit once you meet the requirment

        • Unlikely but my guess you'll get it much closer to the deadline. Unless of course they screw it up and you never get it lol

          • @gimme: Right, I'd say quite close to the deadline but probably anywhere from the 1st Jan to the 14th Jan most likely. I don't see any payouts happening this month.

    • Not yet

    • It’s on the way , the saving they made out of not to air commercials will cover the bonus

  • Hi, i have received my card and pin letter, but they did not send details of my account no.
Does anyone else have the same problem ?

    • +1

Should be in the confirmation email. Pin letter is redundant as it can be easily set online.

  • App can't be opened on a rooted android phone wtf.

    • +1

You know how to root but don't know how to hide root?

    • Magisk. A number of apps stopped working on rooted devices.

  • +8

    Uh oh, didn't get.

I have a few transactions made on 30/12 (as per narrations) but posted on 1/01 & 02/01. Phone call time.

    • Did you also do the logins?

      • +1

Yes, logged onto app numerous times.

    • -2

      What's with the negs?

      • +1

I would guess that it's because you left it till the last few days to do the requirements. Transactions don't get processed on weekends too.

        • -1

That isn't neg vote worthy though.

    • Haven’t got mine yet either, transactions completed well before Christmas and log ins done

    • +5

The promotion stated very clearly that the purchases needed to be settled before the end of 2018. So its your fault you didn't get credited.

You should have done them at least 5 business days before the end of the period to make sure it was settled in time.

It was year end with many public holidays. The absolute latest you should have done the purchases was Monday 24 Dec ( even then, would have been better to do it a bit earlier than that ).

      • Done before end of november

        • I wrote the above in response to 'Reveen's comment ( I think I pressed reply to reveen before I wrote it ).

    • +1

Feel for you mate - I also forgot until the last couple of days and made my last purchase on the 29th which didn't clear until the 1st (didn't read the fine print) - $100 missed this time X 2 accounts

      • -3

Don't give up and give them a call. I will be.

        • -1

lol, what are you hoping to achieve?

They will just look at your account, tell you they weren't settled in time and you don't meet the condition, and then maybe the person on the phone will giggle because you didn't do the purchases much earlier to guarantee you were paid.

I don't think they will give you anything out of sympathy (especially considering the deal was far too oversubscribed anyway).

      • Feel for you mate - I also forgot until the last couple of days and made my last purchase on the 29th which didn't clear until the 1st (didn't read the fine print) - $100 missed this time X 2 accounts

lol I deposited $5 into the account, made 2x$2 and 1x$1 purchases from hungry jacks by the end of November.. then thought that was it. went completely over my head that it's 5x paywave transactions instead of just using up $5 lol

        oops.

  • Got mine today! :)

  • Would the best course of action be to wait until after the 14th to query?

    • Good point.

  • huh well mine went through, so that's good. was wondering if i'd done it wrong, cause there didn't seem to be any way to tell if the code was successfully applied to the sign up. guess it worked :)

  • -3

    I got the $100 credit yesterday with 5 x 1c purchases. Excellent.

    • Nice! What did you buy with your tuppence?

    • -1

I just split off 5c of a supermarket purchase. I don't get why this comment gets so many negatives. It should be positive.

      • +1

It could be because you didn't up vote the deal.

  • +1

I got my $100 credit today.. Thanks OP.

  • Hubby and I both got our $100 :)

  • +5

pleasantly surprised with CUA. Apart from their overseas transactions fees, I would use them for every day in Australia and have been. They've been good.

    HSBC in comparison is pathetic

    • +1

I like that they have the pay id option so I have started using them instead of my ANZ account

      • ANZ doesn’t have payid?

        • +1

          They have

          • @Ash-Say: I logged in my ANZ mobile account, but can’t see payid option when I trying to pay someone. Desktop version has it or what? Thanks.

        • +1

They only have for business accounts till now

    • could you please elaborate why HSBC is bad? Thanks

      • +2

They are an incredibly bureaucratic bank. Their statements are impossible to read. They have a clunky token that you have to use for all transactions and more than once for each. Their call centre is staffed by people who are not native English speakers, nothing wrong with that I am also one of these, but can be difficult to communicate with on the phone. They have bizarre security rituals because they are a global Bank….

  • +3

wow got my easiest $300 ever!
