Always have a good back up plan in place. Basically you want:

3 copies of any data you don't want to lose.
2 different mediums it's stored on (so 2 different drives in your computer, for example).
1 copy kept offsite, to prevent against disaster. Let's say an asteroid strikes your house or a tornado hits it, you want a copy somewhere else so you can retrieve it.

  • Read the faq. Seems like you only get this price if enough people buy the stock… not really sure if this is an 'obtainable ' deal.

    • 9 confirmed sales our of 11 needed to get $85 price, so not that unobtainable.
I'm more concerned about the mini-A usb connector, rather than a standard A. Description etc is straight off the officeworks site though. I thought PCs had a regular USB A and that mini was typically what old phones etc used to have.

      • The mini usb is the hdd end, other end of the cable is standard pc spec usb. I think ill try office works price.beat instead though…

  • This internal drive the same thickness of the 2tb version?

  • Is this shuckable?

  • Dropped to $80 now.

    • How can you tell? Site isn't working for me on PC or mobile. It's there, but has no products.

      • Had seen it before it sold out. Should have bought one.

        • Yeah, It dropped to $80 before it got out of stock.

  • Got an email from them saying that they're having issues supplying the 3TB, so they've given me the option of getting the 4TB instead for no extra charge or getting a refund + $30 JB Gift Card.
Excellent outcome if that's the case, although I'll wait until I get the 4TB before I say for sure.

    • I received the same and also chose the 4tb Hard Drive. 4tb drive for $80 would be insane. But like you I am waiting for it go arrive before celebrating.

    • have u received 4TB? genuine?

      $80 for 4TB is a crazy price

      • Confirmed, got it today!

      • Mine arrived Wednesday. Everything looks legit. Aside from size and serial number etc. Its identical to a 2TB drive I got (packaging and drive itself)

Very happy with it. Shipping was a bit slowbut for a bigger drive and cheaper price then when I ordered it's really irrelevant.

        • thank you Guys.

i'm gonna F5 ozbargain every minute for their next deal. XD
