Hi, it's my first post. Please let me know if any changes should be made.

I was looking for a good gamepad controller to play Zelda on my computer and found this one.
I didn't buy from Big W, the trick for me was to price match at a JB-Hifi store I was visiting.
I've been using the controller for two days now and it has been a good experience.

Looks like almost all models are in special right now, the only difference between them is the colour and texture.

Some of my favourite specs:

-Cable is 2.4m and sturdy
- Has 3.5mm jack
- Xinput on PC and recognised as Xbox One controller
-Has windows 10 app for changing pretty much all buttons and control volume.
-lookw great and has great ergonomics.

Since I was able to use this offer to price match at JB's, it should be possible to use it to price match anywhere.

Are the PDP decent controllers? Ive used 3rd party back when mad catz was around and it was a BAD experience…
Would this be an upgrade from my XBOX 360 controller?

    • I believe this one is intended for the Xbox One.

I once tried a Microsoft-licensed 3rd-party controller. Had to return it as the d-pad was too stiff to execute combos in Mortal Kombat. Here's to hoping this one's better in that regard.

    • I’d say it would be a good upgrade if your Xbox 360 controller is showing a lot of wear and tear. I still used to use my original 360 controller up until July even with all the rubbers on the joysticks completely worn off. Replaced it with a PDP controller.

    • Looking at albert0pia’s comment, I was talking about using it for PC. I’m not sure if it works on a Xbox 360

      • I'm using on my PC for Cemu Emulator and it works fine, it should show as Xbox One controller for other games that supports it. The box says Xbox One and Windows.

  • Spotted the tickets for this today when in Big W but they didn't have any at all in stock. Price matching would be a good idea

  • We bought a couple of these from an Amazon deal a few months ago. One of the triggers has started squeaking (no biggie) but the cable constantly unplugs (doesn't actually unplug, a quick fiddle fixes it) from top of the controller which is frustrating af in the middle of pvp.

Hopefully it's just one dodgy one. Decent controller besides those issues!

I also got 4 of these for like $5 each during the amazon sale in June. Haven’t had any dramas with them. I have one permanently plugged into pc, drop on floor all the time, kinked cable and everything. Still works fine and no problems with cable unplugging on the controller.

    • I'm guessing our second one will be fine. You've given me hope! :)

    • Wow, that is what you call a bargain! I'm jealous! Still too early for me to talk about durability, but so far I've been enjoying it more than the 360 copy I've bought from EB Games last month.

      • Yeah it was during the buy 1 get 1 free sales + the $20 off discount if you spend $80 as a new customer. Pretty sure the blue ones got as low as $20 at one point so I got 4 controllers for $40 aka “$80” and $20 off. So it was 4 controllers for $20

    is there a wireless one?

    • I think pdp focus on wired controllers only.

      • +1

You can’t get 3rd party wireless controllers.

      • what about deals for wireless ones? doesn't have to be PDP

  • Site down

    Ozbargained?

    • It's down for me too, hopefully just for maintenance. :)

  • Zelda on PC?. When was this released?

    • +1

I'm using Cemu to emulate Zelda Breath of the wild. Running beautifully on my i5-8600k and GTX 1080. There are plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it. I recommend BSOD Gaming videos if you are interested.

  • i got one like a week ago when it was posted.
    got black cammo

works on PC but needs PDP driver - small download like 5mb.
the cable is a bit shorter than Xbox 360 controller i used to use but it's not terribly short or anything like that.

all in all for 29$ its pretty good, i wouldnt pay more than 30$ for it again but would buy again no problem

also. in games, games just treat it like a xbox 360 controller so there's no issues there
