    Amazing Price KD75X9000F!!!

    • almost same as last videopro 20% off

  • +2

Pretty good prices especially the 75” 9000F. Good spotting Op

  • Best price yet for 75 inch I believe, even better than the big Sony and videopro sale a while back. Thanks OP, getting it.

  • +1

I have the 75X9000F in our lounge room which I grabbed from Videopro when they had their $3600 deal a little while back and I have to say the TV has been excellent. Definitely recommend it at that price.

  • Has anybody used the 9000F for gaming? Is the input lag OK?

I was planning on picking one of these up before the end of the year, but some unexpected medical expenses plus needing new tyres for my car means I'll probably have to put it off until next year :(

    • +1

As long as you use game mode the input lag is fine. It's something like 24ms at 4K. I don't feel it at all.

      • Thanks. Do you lose anything noticeable in terms of image quality by using game mode?

    • Disregard that. Different model.

    • +1

I've had no problems with an Xbox One X and RDR2 if that helps.

I've not tried online multiplayer yet, but I'll be trying Battlefield 1 tonight - though the 70ms ping from Perth to servers in the east is probably a bigger issue.

  • Does the same model exist for the 55 inch ?

  • Does anyone have a link to a review of X8500F or the equivalent overseas model? How does it compare to Samsung's U8000 model which is the same price? Thanks.

  • The average home screens size is getting larger and larger. Needing to weigh up whether:

    1. Invest in a larger screen, such as 75" - and just have that
    2. Invest in a 65" which is more economical $ and acquire a projector for more serious viewing sessions.
    3. Or, just keep the 50" plasma which still has impressively natural images (no 4K or HDR or any of that), and add a projector?
    • +1

Option 3. If my 40 inch full HD lcd was 50-55 inch, I wouldn't waste my money the way these prices are dropping.

I'm looking to buy a 65 inch to complement my new projector but as said above, if my 12 year old 40 inch was slightly bigger, I definitely wouldn't waste the money. That AND the room the 40 inch was originally in was much smaller so would look lost in my new room. The picture quality on the 40 inch for me was and still is amazing. Becomes a want more than a need when you already have something that suits your needs.

    • Option 4: Run your plasma into the ground and go to imax Carlton for your big screen fix. It is without equal. TV's are just gonna get cheaper and cheaper imo.

      My 2 pesos.

      • +2

The IMAX at Carlton is the best, isn’t it?

Mate it's Gods gift to cinema.

    • Thanks for the perspectives.

Doing some renos, so still have time to consider which way to go - not urgent to make any switch.

Also need to consider how much better the Xbox One X would look on more modern panel versus my old but very nice plasma.

That said, I agree that prices are coming down a lot. 4K is becoming very competitive now, and once that bottoms out, OLED 4K will do the same.

    • Let me guess, is that a Panasonic ST60 series plasma? If yes, then I'm in the same boat as u.

  • Looking into 55" Sony's and would like some help…

Mainly for watching commercial TV, streaming Netflix, using Apple TV and some console gaming (PS4 and N64 when I'm feeling nostalgic).

I would like to wall mount it and keep the cables minimal (not sure if there is any difference on this point).

Should I think about buying the 8500 or the 9000 over the 7500, considering the price?

    Appreciate any advice. Thanks

    • Was literally about to ask the same. Wondering if paying over a third more is worth it for the 9000

    • Absolutely worth the price difference, the key thing to note is that the 9000F vs the other 2 you mentioned is backlit vs edgelit, which just makes it far superior - clarity, brightness and colour wise (from my experience) not to say you need it but if you compared them side by side the edgelit ones appear slightly more washed out. I would have purchased this if i hadn't bought a samsung NU8000 during their cashback promotion.

I've had a 65" X7500F (paid $1,590) for a few months and last week set up a 55" & 65" 9000F for my uncle. Going back to the 7500 doesn't make me wish i'd forked out double the $$ for a 65" 9K, once you've got it at home with nothing to compare it too, does the job nicely as a general purpose family TV, i'd give em 2K for a 65" 9K though.

      • Any huge difference between the X65F and X75F?

        • Sorry, I meant x7500f vs x8500f.

  • Is Android OS that bad on Sony TVs? Hear its slow and buggy over time. I had a media box running Android OS and the experience was shite.

    • I've had a 7500F for a few months now, only issue is it doesn't find the network (cabled) immediately after turning on. Not a big issue for me, just have to exit and re-enter the app (Netflix, Youtube etc)

      • +1

I second this! Over wifi, no issues. Hard wiring takes a bit of time for the OS to recognize, which is weird

  • When are the new models coming out?

How old is the X90F? more than 12 months?

    • Less. It was originally revealed around January 2018 and went on sale around March/April 2018.

      • i really want it now, but I need to sell my projector first before I can afford it.

It is on gum tree, hopefully it sells in the next few days. fingers crossed

Once you go 75 inches.. you don't go back. Not to brag or anything, but everytime I go to a mates that has a 65 inch tv, I feel the same disappointment girls feel with me..

    • least you're honest

    • +2

Username not checking out. see itslittfam's comment below

    • They also have an 85" if you're into that :) …. why limit yourself ey when you can go bigger!

    • True but I think it depends on how far you are sitting.
My 65 inch is about a meter away from the edge of my bed so I feel anything bigger would possibly… and I say possibly… be a bit too big.
Not many watch from that close though.

      • I thought 65" you should be 2 or 3 meters away for viewing. One metre away seems nuts.

        • @serpserpserp Do you lie on the edge of your bed?

        • One meter away from the furthest edge of the bed. I don't sit at the edge of the bed I lay on the furthest edge away from the TV.

  • Is the 75x9000f worth the $1800 more than the TCL 75C4US (going at $1796) after the TGG 20% off?

    • +4

Definitely, learnt the hard way going cheap on tv's. This is not a 1-2 year 'investment', you're likely to use it over 4-6 years, even more. So go quality over value.

      • +1

Thanks mate. Btw username doesn't check out ;)

        • +1

It did check out initially when I got a TCL 75'er thinking I got a bargain… boy was I wrong.

    • yes it is :) do it mate !!

    • +2

Thanks tightm8 and sunnyboys2, I am sold. Just pulled the trigger

Annnnd… "The listing you're looking for has ended."

    -_-

    • Damn sorry if you were going to buy haha. I think i was the last to purchase before it ended :(

  • +1

    All gone? Noooo

  • +1

I thought the deal ran for 4 days, not 4 hours :(

  • Sony KD55X9000F $1596 is it good time to buy for that price, or i can get better deal on Black Friday? i'm nit on hurry. Cheers

    • -1

Not a bargain, I'd wait. You can get a very good 65 Inch Hisense for the same price, on par re quality.

      • Oh. interesting thing..never thought about brands like Hisense or TCL. Based on rtings /other sites, SonyX9F or Sams 8 series are best for their money (~2000). What Hisense model can beat them? Thanks.

        • Motion on my Samsung qled 2018 is rubbish. I'm in touch with customer service trying to organise a return. Otherwise I'll sell it second hand.

        • +1

I'm waiting for an absolute steal on 65" Hisense P7 - but if the X9F somehow drops to around $2k I'll bite. Also not in a rush… waiting on Black Friday

  • That was quick. Good thing I was able to price match the 75" in-store.

    • Which store was this? I didnt see any 75 for local pick up. Looked like you could only get it delivered

      • Castle Hill. Yeah, got it delivered. Too big for my car.

  • Can anyone confirm 1440p at 120hz on the sony 9000f?

I'm reading conflicting things online - rtings doesn't mention it, but Reddit users seem to think it's possible.

I realise it does 1080p at 120hz, hence the specific question about 1440p.

  • +4

    All the listings are back.

    • Cheers, just bought a Kd75x9000e :) Thought i missed out

  • Looks like the KD75X9000F is all gone again! :(

    • Damn was hoping to hear someone may have price matched with Harvey before they ran out of stock :(

      • I paid $3600 at hn befor the sale

        • How long ago was that Dex and wasn't that during their free divert and installation promo?

  • +1

It was 3 weeks ago when they were 5500 at most stores I just asked to pay $3600 shows there profit margin

    • Nice work, did you manage to get Harvey to include the delivery?

  • +3

Just when I finally made up my mind on purchasing one…. All sony tv's taken off the listing
