  • $899 on TGG commercial so looks like $719 is a great price.

I have found Samsung to be a brand that has good customer service - they just fixed my faulty ice maker, even though the fridge was 18 months out of warranty.

They said they recognised a design fault, and replaced the unit without question. They were very responsive. All done in about 3 days with one visit from the tech.

From reading review sites, the responsiveness and approach to warranty is common.

    • ACL no doubt helps.

      • Yeah - but nice when there is no fight. Can't say that about all in-time warranty claims.

    • No such good service for me when my $1500 tv died after 2 years. Despite it being a known and common screen fault with tons of complaints viewable online they refused to do anything about it. Threats about ACL got nowhere and I didn't have time to fight which they no doubt rely on.

I bought this fridge back in June(ish) from a TGG 20% sale for about $600. Incredibly quiet and overall very happy with it. Take with a grain of salt tho as my last fridge was a POS.

  • Choice rating 56/100
    Claimed star rating 3.5/5
    Energy consumption – claimed (kWh/yr) 365

    • Are there any fridges that get 100/100 or a 5/5 star rating?

Given we live a warm climate and the fridge is opened a lot, I suspect our energy use is a lot higher than the spec.

LG have 299kWh/yr in upside down models around 450L.

      • I've seen 4.5 stars. I dont think choice give a perfect score (not that i've seen)

  • good price on a very good fridge, paid 800 something for the same one from TGG about 6 months ago. I have two samsung fridges, only thing I could complain is the weak plastic used for shelting, if you have a tough wife, it won't last long.

  • Make sure you check the height of your fridge hole in your kitchen.
Samsungs are tall. This won't fit in fridge hole in my current apartment.

  • What about this one for $662.40?
