Well, it depends on the category or manufacturer: staff can get 11% off Apple, but customers can theoretically save more if they pay in discounted gift cards that have rewards points or cashbacks etc. Headphones are generally 30% over priced, as are many accessories: a good rule of thumb is if you can get a price of 40% off or better, & that is reflected in ShopBot & MyShopping search engines, then it's a good deal; Bose, for example, is notoriously hard to get cheap so if you can get it cheap, go for it. Apple & some other manufacturers also prevent bulk sales except for educational or enterprise to maintain their inflationary prices.
Crazy mark ups by Apple, people think the newer phones are expensive because the quality but it's because people are not upgrading as frequently as they used to and hence Apple makes extra money to recoup that loss in sales.

Can't say for certain myself since I don't have access to the site. But from what I can gather it only sells items lower than market value, hence the word "commercial".

Just sign up to unionshopper to get access to good guys commercial.
Fill in any random details, and for your employer just pick any large ASX listed entity. There's no real verification as far as I'm aware - I've had access for the last 2 years this way.
Asks for union membership number now.
I put in a random number, which let me register an account, but when you request access to TGG commercial site, it asks to attach proof of your membership with the union which I assume a person will verify.
Same, it's asking for a photo of the membership card

I got a g'day membership yesterday evening, email etc and all works. I just checked now and can still login to the website. I applied for TGG last night but still nothing through this morning.

I buy a lot each year from TGG. 150k -200k and i have an account with TGG commercial but i always get a better price at my local good guys. Always.
How can you spend $150k at TGG a year?
He/She is a legit commercial customer… maybe that’s why. They aren’t looking for a pair of headphones or a TV. They order full kitchens, white goods etc.

Just an FYI you can also access TGG Commercial if you have access to Union Shopper. As per it's namesake, you'll need to be a member of any union in order to create an account.
(not tested as I'm not a member, but let us know if you have success with it.)
Doesn't work when you're requesting access to TGG Commercial. It will specifically ask you to submit a photo of your Union Card.

Just from a quick search I haven't actually been able to find many great deals.
I never received my membership number but started receiving emails with deals. So I contacted their membership support and given below is their response followed by another email with the membership number

Our system shows that you applied for the G’DAY Rewards membership on 14/10 using a promo code which was incorrectly shared outside of its intended users.
We can offer you a 12 month digital membership which will be forwarded shortly, however, no membership card will be issued.
The G’DAY Rewards digital membership will show a virtual card and membership number which you can use for bookings and show as proof of membership at any Discovery Park or Top Park around Australia.

Mine is still working. My G'day rewards membership was completely legitimate though.
I found out what the problem was for me- you need to use the login name you made when signing up to the good guys commercial. You can't use the email address as the login name.

Just received an email for TGG Commercial site.
You can actually get access to this indefinitely by joining 1 month ($25 tax deductible) with the ASU (through Union Shopper) and then unjoining. I’m still considered a Union Shopper (and therefore can access Commercial) after more than 3 years of quitting lol. I don’t predict that I will be taken off Union Shopper’s mailing list :)
