AOC warranty is shocking. Got one of this and HDMI broken, RMA checked and said nothing wrong. I have tested both with my PC and Macbook. They work perfectly on my Acer x34 but not this cheap crap.

    • Well that is unfortunate, I have my AOC 1080p 60hz monitor from 2010 still working perfectly, so I would expect something that costs 5 times my current monitor to have its HDMI working at the least, but seems that can happen based on your experience.

Yep, I'm currently going through a nightmare warranty process too!

Received a new monitor approximately 10 weeks ago with a cluster of 5 dead pixels in the centre of the screen. Organised a return, and they took ~2 weeks to send out a replacement. The replacement turned out to be a heavily used, older and inferior model. I emailed them and they apologised — they organised the collection of the monitor and another replacement.

They organised a courier to pick up the monitor, but told me on 4x separate occasions that my SECOND replacement had been sent when it actually had not. "Your monitor was sent on Friday" … "Sorry, don't know what happened on Friday but it will be dispatched today" … "Sorry, not sure what happened but your monitor will be dispatched today (Thursday) and here's your fake tracking number" … "Sorry, for some reason there's a problem with the courier, your monitor was sent on Friday (today) and will probably arrive next Tuesday".

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you're aware of their shoddy customer support and warranty before buying an AOC monitor! I've never typed up a complaint on a social media platform before but I felt compelled to share my story given how incompetent they have been throughout.

Most of the monitor manufacturers have horrible customer support unfortunately. So it's fairly hard to avoid and limit yourself.

        • You could try and deal with a good store to help avoid issues? I had an Acer monitor with light bleed issues around the edges and I sent it back to Ple computers (through ebay) and they we're happy to replace/refund me and did so quickly too.

  • Is ghosting and input lag noticeable for FPS and MOBA games on IPS panels?

    • If you are a pro gamer that focus on twitch shooters then you will want a TN panel.

      • Thanks Pikachu.

I definitely aint pro, but I do play a lot of high frame rate online games.

        • I think ultimately it depends on what you would prefer, TN panel is definitely superior in terms of response time that many might prefer with games that is relies heavily on it.

IPS is slowly getting better but it can never win TN. On the plus side you get boootiful colours and viewing angle on IPS.

I Tarkov, Sandstorm, and WW3 and I have noticed zero imput or ghosting.

It has minor bleed but what IPS doesnt.

      I love this monitor.

I have the monitor. Personally? Nah, after graduating from a TN panel, there's no discernable difference between 1ms and 4ms on CS:GO, BF1, PUBG, Minecraft, Fallout 4… whatever. Your biggest source of latency is, and always will be, your net connection.

If you genuinely think you can notice a 3ms difference in input lag then my first instinct would be to call bullshit.

Thanks mate, helped me pull the trigger on this one!

No worries, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! There are other things to consider, such as the increased likelihood of light bleed, but overall it is an extremely good panel - and for $700 that's very good value for money (I paid $900 one year ago).

@MetaLaugher: They shipped it pretty quick as I got it today! I have to say, the first thing that pops out are the vibrant colours. I honestly can't go back to TN.

            Thanks again!

Bought this last sale! Upgraded from a regular 60hz 24 inch and the difference is amazing!! Only con is backbleeding issues around corners/edges with this monitor and the acer and asus equivalents!
