    What's the points worth?

    • +6

Looks like 60000 will go to 24000 Velocity/Kris/Emirates. And with a 0.5pt per dollar earn rate, it's not looking great.

      • and for $9,000 required spend too. Meh^100

  • If I choose Qantas rewards instead for the additional $49 annual fee will I receive 60,000 Qantas points instead?

Under the T's and C's (5.) it states "This offer is not available on the Qantas Frequent Flyer Rewards Program." So that would be a no.

$1500 every month for 6 months? That doesn't really work with my fast churn and burn strategy.

I went to try and see how much points are worth but they give a disclaimer saying that points values and rewards change depending on your account. So basically they’re worth varying values based on your account/cards and you might not be able to buy what you want in the first place. The rewards site also shows “Starting at…” prices, which by themselves are pretty crap anyway. A Galaxy S8 is starting at 227k points for reference.

Suncorp points are basically worth nothing. Nothing to see here.

Lol. Who the f is Suncorp. They think we fools or sumfin

I reckon giftcards are the best way to working out points value.

A $100 wishcards cost 20900 points. So their points are worth slightly less then flybuys points ($100 Coles card cost 20000 points). Amex a $100 giftcard is 13500)

    TLDR: its ~39k Amex points.

    Cray cray spend requirement.

$9000 min spend for the equivalent of ~25000 Velocity/KF points? You're having a laff, right?

What a rip off….fake news credit card

    Not competitive at all

Agree, Suncorp should have done their due diligence before offering this to the market. Or were they hoping that by using trick marketing by highlighting $1500 for 6months, $49 annual fee and 60,000 points would lure a lot of people who would not have bothered to read the fine prints.

  • Also the reviews for this card on your page are laughably fake.

even ANZ Black do not require this kind of spend, Suncorp
    They asked for $2500 x 3 momths

  • Maybe it's april fool :p

  • I got this card offered to me for free as part of a home loan. It's similar to Citi banks platinum credit card and issued by the same clowns. I was told that I need to take up the 0% bt with in 3 months of opening the account or I would lose the offer. The bt is more of an interest to me so I can put the funds into the offset account thus saving 4.19% in interest. Would it be best to aim for 3months spend to get 30k points and then do the balance transfer once account is paid off and just before the 3 month deadline is up?

  • if you use in conjunction with balance transfer offer, beware as you will be charged high interest if you don't fully pay the purchases asap.
