This product was originally a kickstarter, backers that have received their product have given very positive feedback and the system looks very promising.

What is it? It's basically a linux computer inside a gameboy-esque shell, allowing you to do anything you can do on linux on this device!

That includes programming (with GPIO too!), watch videos or listen to music, play games or emulate games and more!

I just bought mine with the student discount, i got hit with $40 USD shipping unfortunately but i really wanted one so i bit the bullet.

A youtube video of a kickstarter backer unboxing, assembling and using: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vsxN2R_kRt0

EDIT: When this deal is going to end i'm not sure, so I bought it today.

  • I don't trust a youtube review that doesnt even know what a raspberry pi is. He holds it up and goes that must be the motherboard it has alot of chips on it.

Not sure its worth the high price tag when its really just raspberry pi and a portable case

    • +1

I think the price is not unreasonable when you consider the package also includes a screen, speaker, battery and buttons.
However the low resolution screen (320x240) and shipping for USD$40 mean I won't be buying one.

Personally I suggest a Raspberry Pi with kano.

  • This was initially on a kickstarter project. It is really good gaming dev device, allow you to customised and put multiple emulator but not high end gpu gaming. Good for people who want to start game programming. Not suitable for someone want to use it for gaming console as the battery capacity is small. It is like raspberry pi with a complete good casing shell design and game shell OS. only the battery was a bit let down due to the size.

  • Wont be replacing your iPad/Android Tablet just yet

Or alternatively just get a controller for your phone and play more emulated games at better quality.

  • ETA PRIME did a great review on this handheld, sure wish I was a student…
