You like it rough do you?? ;)

still a good price, im waiting for $299 haha

    • You'll be waiting a long time. 5-6mths and that is if you can get the few that go at that price.

      • I'd say you can almost put it in the same category as the BLF Q8 torch, can't see it happening again.

        • +2

$349 is the new normal. It's Costco's price. Yes, membership, but anyone can get one easily. Other stores will match it. A code or sale within the next couple months will bring it to $300 (or close to) by Christmas.

          • @SydStrand: Checked Cotsco Auburn last Friday. It's 399. In which Cotsco is it 349?

        • the XM2s went as low as $268 I believe or there abouts. Costco at around $278. As soon as they were in store or on OZB. They were gone.

US $350 (AUD 500) on Amazon[1], so the Australian price is remarkably low.

There is a thread on Whirlpool complaining that the Australian stock is defective and been dumped here, which might explain things.

        [1] https://camelcamelcamel.com/Sony-WH1000XM3-Canceling-Headpho…

        • What's the defect?

          • @El Grande: Microphone quality apparently: https://whrl.pl/Rffxj6

              @RedHab:

              Microphone quality apparently: https://whrl.pl/Rffxj6

I assume you're referring to this line:

Just contacted Addicted to Audio, the seller of my XM3 regarding call quality issue. They said that this problem is due to a bad batch of initial production and has been officially acknowledged like 2 days ago

From that, how did you conclude that defective stock is being dumped in Australia?

              • +1

@eug: That was unfortunately wrong information as we have only had a few back with issues - not a batch issue.

Don't we have tougher consumer laws here? Why would they dump defective stock in a country with tougher laws?

        • +6

It's a conspiracy theory from some unhappy users. So Sony deliberately diverted faulty units to one specific market, one with relatively strict consumer laws, sells them cheaper without disclosing the problem, but still offer full warranty anyway. More likely just a QC issue.

    • I went into my local JB the other day and they said the best price they could give me was $299.25 down close to $100 from the $399 they were selling it for. Needless to say, I bought a pair.

      • +1

how did u make them go down to that price?

        • +1

I went in and asked if they could price match goodguys concierge for $274, I knew it probably wasn't going to happen and they said they couldn't do it. They then used their machine and said the lowest price they could do was $299 so I bought a pair.

          • @[Deactivated]: bruh that was lucky whenever i try to price match they always deny me.

      • yeah that's a crazy good deal, how did u convince them to go down 100 bucks.

      • +1

Great deal, any chance you could upload the receipt?

    • I’m at the Sony store in Paragon BKK where they are selling for 13990 baht. This is a good price.

  • +3

Still cheaper at Qantas Store if you can spare 2000 pts

Do you like that upvote? DO YOU?! Tell me how much you like it you dirty little bargainer.

      Take it to pms bruh

      • +2

You mean PMs, as in personal messages.

Not as in PMS, or some site I hadn't heard of.

  • Thanks. I ordered from somewhere else last week for $10 less but sadly they ran out of stock of black :( (the silver is just too bright/white for me). I am ok with paying a bit more for the black.

    • +7

      Annie are you ok?

      • +9

More like, it doesn't matter if it's black or white

        • +2

          Blacked.

      • +1

        that was smooth, operator.
Damnit, wrong singer. I'm so sade.

$798 for 2 at Sony Shop.

They have an offer of $100 eftpos card if you buy 2.

That's less than $300 each which I feel is a good price.

I bought two for the teenagers today.

    .

    • Haha, you'll never hear from them again!

      • +4

That's ok, they'll never hear from him again either.

    • -2

      Just for the record,

      ($798 - $100 - $60)/2 = $638/2 = $319

      That's not less than $300 each…

      • You forgot the TRS part.

        • -1

That's only for those getting out of the country, not a general discount.

          • +2

@SilverRanger: if you're going overseas in the next 60 days, you can claim 10% GST refund of $798.

            "If"

    • Is that in store only?

      • Yes in store only.

        .

$340 plus 2000 qantas points at qantas store.

  • +2

Managed to get the Qantas store offer for $304.75 + 2000 QFF points due to an additional 10% off birthday month offer.

I used the code BDAYNOV18, so not sure if it is account specific. Still good if your birthday is in December as this offer goes till Dec 20.

    • Damn Scorpios lol

    • +1

I did the exact same thing. Mine are coming tomorrow!

P.S. Sold my Bose QC35 OGs for $300 (2 years used) so the total upgrade cost was $4.75 + 2000 QFF.

      • P.S. Sold my Bose QC35 OGs for $300 (2 years used)

Wow, where did you find that buyer? That's a great deal… for you! ;)

    • Confirming this code is account specific as it did not work on mine.

Would be good to find out how to qualify for this promo code…

      .

    • I’m platinum QFF and got no code. Wonder what qualifies.

  • Tried coupling this with an Ebay voucher I have, this code does not allow using it with other vouchers :(

    From Ebay offer T&C:

This code cannot be used in conjunction with any other eBay offer, coupon or voucher

    • +1

Do you mean eBay gift card or gift voucher?

If you have a gift voucher, try and buy a digital eBay gift card with it and then it should work fine (if the voucher allows you to buy the gift card)

      • Converted my FlyBuys dollars to Ebay gift voucher (Not EBay Gift card). Cannot use that gift voucher to buy Gift Cards as well (EBay shows This code can't be applied to some of your items). Thank you for the information anyways.

        • Yeah, those vouchers are not like gift cards, which do work with coupon deals.

  • good deal, time to upgrade from my QC headphones!

  • Pro Tip: Addicted to Audio doesn’t include the tax invoice in the package.

You have to email them to receive it.

Send an email to: [email protected]

Source: bought a pair from their last deal.

    • I received mine as part of the shipping notification email

      • I know that shipping confirmation says tax invoice, but it's not. They will send a proper one when requested.

  • +1

I bought a pair for my dad. I've got the MX2's - I have to say, i like the feel of mine better. seem alittle bit more solid/ well made - the buttons are recessed/flush with the M2's - I thought i would want to upgrade but ATM, more than happy.

These aren't in stock. My colleague purchased from there last deal a few days ago directly from them got an email after stating wont arrive till 20th. Another colleague ordered off the Ebay coupon. Same Email.

Not sure why they are posting deals when they know they have none in stock.

    • A2A didn't post the deal. Someone else did.

    • I ordered last night.Today around 4 pm got an email saying they don't have stock. It also mentioned that the Silver stock will be available tomorrow, but the Black (which I want) will be delayed till 20th :(.

I wonder how many else have got the same email.
